ARRIVE AND DRIVE OPPORTUNITY THIS WEEKEND: $2,800 to win 200 Lapper at Indianapolis Speedrome in Indianapolis, Indiana. I’ve got a car (possibly 2) available for an arrive and drive rental. All you have to do is show up and drive the car, we handle all set up, transportation, fuel, tires, crew, and provide feedback / setup changes between sessions. We can even provide safety gear if needed. You’ll have 2 10 lap practice sessions earlier in the day, and a 200 lap feature. We also have the option to do a private test the day before, this Friday, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM where you’ll be the only one on track and me or another instructor will work with you one-on-one. I cover ALL cosmetic damage and the first $100 of any suspension, drivetrain, or other damage with a maximum damage clause of $1,000 if you find a way to barrel roll the car. YOU keep any winnings, including the $2,800 if you win. Seat is open to anyone, even beginners with little to no racing experience, I’ve got a manual and an automatic car available. COST: $700 (with track rental / one-on-one coaching on Friday) $600 (No track rental on Friday, just the 2 practice sessions and feature on Saturday.) These are solid, competitive racecars, and you’ll be competing in a sanctioned race against 25-30 other cars. Cars have containment seats and full cages.
What a debut for the Brayton Laster’s Motorsports School team out at the Indianapolis Speedrome! Took 5 cars and 5 drivers out, all with almost no Speedrome experience and 2 with no racing experience at all. Practice 1 was just for these guys to get their feet wet and laps around the track, you could tell during Practice 2 that a lot of them were finally starting to get used to it and more comfortable with everyone improving on their times. All 5 cars started in the same heat race and we managed to pick up the heat win with Brantley “The Bullet” TJaden leading the first lap and Nathan Moeller leading the final 7 to get the heat win! Brantley TJaden rounded out the podium, William Snapp (@BobcatRacer53 )4th, and Thomas O’Brien 5th after a spin. Justin Duncan was fighting clutch issues and was unable to finish. Everyone started 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th in the 25 lap feature. Nate Moeller led the team, moving inside the top 5 within the first lap to finish 4th. He ran the 4th fastest lap in the event with a 15.5 and had the 4th best average lap time. William “Bobcat Racer” Snapp finished 8th in his racing debut, constantly improving his lap times and had the 9th best lap time of the night with a 16.0. Brantley TJaden was able to get the “OG Prelude” down to a 16.1 after we struggled with a returning misfire all night that ended his night early, he was able to finish 10th. Justin Duncan’s clutch issues returned and relegated him to an early night and an 11th place finish. Thomas “Spinner” O’Brien got a flat LF tire after a couple early spins that ended his night early in his racing debut. Overall a great night of racing for everyone! They all got a ton of seat time and everyone brought their cars home in one piece. Looking forward to having this group back when we can, Thomas will be returning in the 13B, for the Allstar 200 next week, along with 3-4 other drivers!
