@CSIR_NPL successfully conducted the Training Program on Measurement Automation and Instrument Control on 12–13 October 2026 under the CSIR–Integrated Skill Initiative.
The two-day training programme focused on the fundamentals of measurement automation and instrument control using LabVIEW and Python, with practical insights into instrument communication interfaces such as IEEE 488.2 (GPIB) and RS-232.

As part of the 85th CSIR Foundation Day celebrations, Prof. Ashok Jhunjhunwala delivered the Foundation Day Lecture on “Making India a Product Nation.”
Through a detailed presentation, Prof. Jhunjhunwala discussed several key aspects related to strengthening India’s capabilities in science, technology, innovation and indigenous product development. He highlighted the importance of translating research and technological expertise into scalable, industry-oriented solutions and fostering stronger linkages between R&D institutions and industry.
The lecture was followed by the CSIR–Industry Leadership Dialogue, providing a platform for scientific and industry leaders to exchange perspectives on technology development, research–industry collaboration and the role of innovation in addressing national priorities.
The session emphasised the significance of a strong Science–Technology–Industry ecosystem in advancing indigenous technological capabilities and contributing to India’s long-term development objectives.
