I’m perfectly fine with this because Angie Nixon has made it clear that she’s running it back in 2028. If Moskowitz runs he gives up his current seat, will very easily lose to Nixon in a primary, and then one of the most pro-Israel Democrats will be out of Congress.

#News - Michigan Sen -Elect Abdul El-Sayed on CNN says he’ll support Md Sen Chris Van Hollen for Senate Majority Leader if Van Hollen decides to challenge Sen Chuck Schumer. El-Sayed says Van Hollen “would be amazing” in that role.
I get that @ChrisVanHollen and @RoKhanna say they don’t want to run for Senate Majority Leader or House Speaker because they’re more interested in running for POTUS, but wouldn’t challenging the weak current Dem leaders in their respective chamber boost their national profiles?
Senator @ChrisVanHollen would make a MUCH better Majority Leader than @SenSchumer but I think he’s more interested in running for president. So who would you like to see as Senate Leader?

People are going with the brain dead “but who else could be speaker” argument they used back in 2021 when progressives squandered a once in a generation opportunity to oust Pelosi. But Khanna is a good choice.
Of course he’ll say “I don’t want the job” bc he wants to be president and doesn’t want to upset the establishment, but know that when people say they don’t want the job it’s for that reason— not because of an authentic desire.
