The quality of care is only as strong as the person standing on the other side of the consultation room. 🩺💜 So, what happens when we invest in the people who provide care? We brought together our network of healthcare providers for an intensive learning and skills-building experience focused on strengthening the delivery of comprehensive, person-centred SRHR services. 🤝🏽 This wasn’t just about sitting in a training room and taking notes. 📚 There were clinical skills sessions, practical learning, Values Clarification and Attitude Transformation exercises, mentorship, advocacy conversations, safety and security discussions, digital health and reflections on the legal and policy environment guiding SRHR service delivery. We also opened the doors to our Nena na Binti Call Centre, giving providers a closer look at how digital platforms can connect people to information, support and appropriate care. 📞💻 And throughout the training, one question kept coming back: When someone walks into a facility looking for care, what kind of experience should they have? They should meet a provider who is skilled. A provider who listens. 👂🏽 A provider who understands the law and their professional responsibilities. A provider who protects dignity and confidentiality. And, most importantly, a provider who can offer quality care without stigma or judgement. 💜 That is why provider capacity strengthening is such an important part of our health systems work. Because strengthening a health system isn’t only about facilities, equipment and policies. It is also about investing in the people who make that system work every single day.
