My hotel room was forced while I was in the Supreme Court and the jamb spilt apart. But nothing was taken, £180 cash left on the table. Please note just in case. I am not suicidal, I have the most wonderful family and friends and many battles to fight.

The Labour Government are arming a genocide. And arresting those who do their moral duty to protest it. Even when they eventually reverse it - it should be a huge shame and stain on them forever.
"You didn't join the police force to do this, did you?" On the eve of the Supreme Court hearing on the Palestine Action ban, a 94-year-old barrister tells @ShehabKhan why she got arrested, and the words that made her arresting officer cry. Watch the full interview 👇

Far from being a “human shield” my son was acutely aware of dangers posed by Israel’s loose rules of engagement. Wearing a fluorescent jacket, saw children being targeted by an IDF sniper, handed over his camera and rescued two children. He was shot in the head for his humanity.

This is a really important interview by Rivkah Brown in Zeteo with Kenneth Stern, who helped draft the predecessor to the IHRA Working Definition. He's adamant that the IHRA should be dumped, even as an academic and monitoring tool. He's very clear it is so "poisoned" it should never be used in schools, as the government is now planning to do based on the Bell review. This is what Stern says: “I think it’s become so poisoned now that I wouldn’t use it primarily for [data collection] or any other purpose...The track record of IHRA in the U.S., Germany, Australia and, yes, the UK has been to use [the IHRA definition] to label pro-Palestinian speech” – including that of pro-Palestinian Jews – “as officially antisemitic."

Last night, Abd Abu Shahada was abducted & taken hostage by Apartheid Israel forces. Abd Abu Shahada is the host of the al-Maydan podcast, which I listen to religiously. I've listened to hundreds if not thousands of hours of Abd Abu Shahada. He is among the most thoughtful, sharp and wise analysts and observes among Palestinians in 1948. A real intellectual. That's why he is so dangerous to the Apartheid State. In the hundreds/thousands of hours I've listen to his podcast, he's never uttered a single word of incitement. not even a single word in a single podcast that could even be construed as incitement. this abduction is pure Israeli state terrorism and reflects the reigning ideology of the regime: Jewish supremacy from the river to the sea. anyone who has the wrong DNA can and will be taken hostage for expressing the incorrect political view, namely, a desire to live with equality, freedom & justice. open.spotify.com/show/5WzI9x…
Netanyahu and Zini are escalating their efforts to steal the election. Last night, police and the Shin Bet abducted journalist Abd Abu Shahada from his home. The forces refused to present an arrest warrant, seized belongings without providing an inventory, and continue to withhold any information about his whereabouts. Abd’s arrest is part of a broader campaign of arrests, interrogations and threats against political activists, designed to undermine the election results through the weaponization of the police and the Shin Bet. None of this will change one simple fact: Netanyahu lost the election, thanks to Arab citizens who turned out in massive numbers and kicked him out. The state’s abduction of its own citizens is a grave crime. But we will not be intimidated, and we will not let them steal the election. The crimes committed by the police and the Shin Bet in Netanyahu’s service will not deter us from our just struggle to build a society and a state founded on freedom, justice and equality.

Israel killed eight people including a child in Gaza this weekend as they continue their genocide. After a weekend of arresting pensioners for protesting against this horror, Labour has today collapsed local agreements putting Israel far above serving our local communities.

Quite revealing that Labour will work happily with the Tories or even Reform but are determined to turn Green Party opposition to a genocide into a local political football. Andy Burnham. Keir Starmer. The Labour Party still feels very Peter Mandleson. Join.greenparty.org.uk
🟢 EXCL: Understand Green cllrs on Havant Council have submitted a motion of no confidence in the Labour leader after Labour pulled out of the power sharing deal over the ZIR motion. The Havant Greens had said they recognised problematic elements of the motion but denied it was anti semitic and said they could not ask the party leadership to reject it as it was voted for democratically by members. Havant was ran by a “rainbow coalition” of Labour, Greens & LDs. Current make up of HBC: Reform - 9 Labour - 7 Conservative- 5 LD - 5 Greens - 5 Independent- 4 Plus one seat vacant due to by elex

New action campaign: Labour’s chair, Bridget Phillipson, gave Green councillors seven days to disown a motion that calls Zionism racism. The Greens in eleven councils refused, so Labour is pulling out of all eleven. To explain how extreme this measure is, in Sheffield, it would rather run the city with 26 of 84 seats than share it with 19 Greens. That is the hill Labour has chosen to die on. It is putting eleven councils at risk because Green members said that Zionism, the political ideology behind stealing Palestinian land, is racist. Phillipson, who set the deadline and has now taken this extreme action, has the following in her register of interests: - £105,000 towards her office staff from two pro-Israel donors: £80,000 from Stuart Roden in 2023, and £25,000 from Sir Trevor Chinn between 2022 and 2024. - ELNET UK, a pro-Israel lobby group, paid about £3,000 for one of her staff to go on a Labour study tour of Israel in July 2023. Thirteen months ago, Labour’s conference voted to recognise Israel’s genocide in Gaza. Now it is punishing a party for naming the ideology behind it. Starmer backed Zionism “without qualification”. Burnham is breaking up councils over a vote that calls it racism. This is the same politics, just with a new face. So we have created a new action campaign where you can write to your local councillors. Put in your postcode, and each of your ward councillors gets a letter in your name, tailored to their party: 1. Greens: hold your position, and keep the offer of local cooperation open in writing. 2. Labour: do not vote to end the joint administration. Tell the NEC your council comes first. 3. Liberal Democrats: say publicly that a view on Zionism is not a condition of working together. 4. Conservatives and Reform: apply the free speech you campaign on. Take action now: newscord.org/action/labour-g…

First-class analysis of that Kuensberg interview. Thank you @pauleholden Let her try to interview Paul or @BenMoser123 I wonder if she dares interview two of the most astute, well-informed writers on Zionism of our times. I’m about to buy three copies of BM’s new book.
Replying to @meadwaj
She got absolutely everything she wanted from that interview. It's naive in the extreme to believe that Kuensberg & the BBC are engaged in a disinterested exercise in discovering the truth. They are constructing a truth that sustains the status quo. Stategically, the Greens should be using high-profile interviews like this to disrupt, expose, question and unsettle the status quo; to express and highlight the multiple contradictions of our absurd moment. This interview did the opposite, casting rupture as "divisive" and anathema to "core" Green values, and giving the manufacturers of the status quo tools to undermine a new politics. Ramsay was either foolish or disingenuous if he believed it was a neutral forum to begin a discussion, as his answers gave them everything they needed to shout about entryism, Polanksi's "divisive politics", hard-left scaremongering and the threat of a future leadership challenge. He either knew what he was doing or he is a staggering naif. Either way, unless his intention is to beat down the membership through media pressure, this intervention will do nothing to help the Party navigate a tough moment, and only helps those forces that want to put the Greens back in their box. It means the Greens are having an internal fight online today instead of preparing to raise hell about Mahmood's new immigration plans today. My sense, btw, is that those who are sympathetic to Polanski should politely acknowledge Ramsay's concerns and move on. There's no need to rise to provocation..This isn't the Labour Party. There isn't a bureaucracy and nevertheless structure that means he can do anything more than carp. It will only help the right wing media if people call for him to be expelled or worse, as they will report on the cruel violence of the Green hard-left.

In order to qualify to keep the 5 year rule, there are still strict conditions on care workers, such as earning above £25,000. According to government’s own figures, some 50,000 care workers will not be able to celebrate, unlike their luckier colleagues.
This is how you manufacture consent. People need to go and actually read the government website to see the full set of proposals. Mahmood has slightly softened the first version of her insanely draconian plans, and now its being spun as a win for progressive Burnhamism. But Mahmood's packages in totality are the most hardline and unfair reforms to immigration and asylum rules in a generation, and bake in discrimination against poorer immigrants doing the social necessary by low-paid jobs that make society function. It is extraordinary to pretend that anything is 'softening' when the journey to full rights and settlement has been made longer for nearly every category of immigrant - except ultra-wealthy arrivals, who will get expedited settlement. The plan for asylum seekers still sees their status reviewed every 30 months. People who arrive 'irregularly' or through 'clandestine' means will have to wait up to 30 years for settlement. Safe and legal routes have new, hard caps, which will inevitably push the vulnerable into seeking irregular routes to feel safe. This package is more severe, and more unfair, than anything promised by the Tories.
