I'm not big on learning lessons from history BUT, if you had to say there is one lesson we should learn from history, what is it? For me, it's that we need to get our energy UP! Successful people of the past were extremely INTENSE!

Are you familiar with the medieval Romans? aka Byzantines? Their culture was much more interesting than it seems but it can be hard to understand. In this conversation, we discuss how you can understand the medieval Romans if you're only familiar with western medieval history.

🚨If you follow me, may I have a brief few moments of your time? The purpose of my account (and my entire medieval internet presence) is to highlight the amazing stories of the middle ages, with a particular focus on the epic, the courageous, the incredible, the beautiful, and the virtuous. But.. We are here on social media. It can be very easy to get caught up on internet vanity. And to be clear, I'm just speaking to you from my perspective here, this isn't a subtweet at anyone. I think it's important for you to know, the goal of my account is to highlight stories or medieval perspectives that will inspire, educate, amaze, and stir some passion for our history, in you. To the end that my account gains more "followers" or a larger reach, the better for the project. The better for our history. And if for some reason that doesn't resonate with you, I would encourage you to unfollow. Really. It's not about me. You won't see me making "I hit 100k!" celebration posts. I'd rather have 1,000 people "following" my project who are passionate about the history, enjoy the content, and want to converse about it or share with others, than have 100,000 bots who don't care. So, I wanted to make a post to thank you for following me here. Thank you for supporting my project. Bringing to light, and taking care of, our medieval history is important to me and I couldn't do it without those of you who are liking my posts, commenting on my posts, and sharing my posts. Thank you for your time, enthusiasm, and support. I have a TON of content in the works for 2025 and, with your help, I may be able to inspire and educate you quite a lot! Thank you for being here and thank you for helping pass along our history!
