Last week I had the unique opportunity to tour Astra’s factories. The tours were amazing but the part I loved the most was meeting and talking with the team at Astra. Wishing the team the best + I look forward to seeing test flight alpha + more spacecraft engines going to orbit.
ASE is finally going to the moon as soon as next year!

As October comes to an end so does @Astra’s 10 year anniversary. I’ve been following them for about 5 years now and what this team has done in that amount of time is incredible. The next 10 years are going to be amazing to see and I hope to be a part of it. To the team, SEND IT!
I thought there was only one satellite using ASE on the bandwagon launch but I guess there was actually three. Time to add these satellites to the list of all satellites that use ASE in orbit.
With the launch of @SpaceX's Bandwagon-5 rideshare mission earlier this week, more Astra spacecraft engines are now on orbit, with two of our customers on board. As always, proud to support our customers.

“Hey so how’s that HLS coming along”
“Flying car”
“That’s not even remotely… wait what?”
One thing to watch is who @Albedo will choose to launch their future satellites, since they seem very confident in signing contracts after their next demo mission. With transporter launches stopping, there are only a few rockets that could launch them.
For dedicated launches the only options are Alpha, Spectrum, RFA one, Nova, and Rocket 4.0. IMO Rocket 4.0 is really the only one out of those options that will be able to rapidly scale to meet the demand from them and other companies.
Astra’s application is now officially filed so now we are entering the public commenting period which lasts about a month.
Per this fcc filing it looks like @Astra is still working towards making a satellite constellation. Last I time they talked about it was in 2023 so wonder what has changed since then. fcc.report/IBFS/SAT-LOA-2026…
It’s only a matter of time before Firefly gets bought out by Northrop and other companies that will only launch internal payloads on their rockets. That only leaves maybe 3 companies Astra, Stoke, and Relativity.
21 more ASE thrusters are now in LEO! Getting closer and closer to 100 operational thrusters in orbit.
Falcon 9 launches the @SemperCitiusSDA's fourth Tranche 1 data transport mission to low-Earth orbit
Making progress on my avionics bay for my L2 certification rocket Astra. This is just a rough idea of what I want the av bay to be able to hold. Once I get my gps system and flight computers I’ll be finalizing the design and be printed it out of PETG.
Spring internships @Astra are now open! It shouldn’t be surprising that I’ve already applied this time around, but I still have a lot of work to do both academically and on the projects I am working on. So there are always summer internships. ats.rippling.com/astra/jobs/…

@Astra is looking for fall interns! If you’re looking for an internship over the fall and want to get a new orbital rocket ready to launch try your luck and apply. I have a few personal projects to complete so I’ll hopefully be applying next year.

It's launch week!
We're putting up @Planet's first low flying 'Pelican' tech demo + 36 SuperDoves, aboard @SpaceX’s Transporter-9 mission, slated for *Saturday morning*, 10:49 PT!
Stay tuned for more updates! Ad astra 🚀🛰️🌍

I swear every launch that is a dedicated mission for satellites that use ASE gets delayed multiple times lol
Now targeting no earlier than October 10 for Falcon 9 to launch @SemperCitiusSDA's fourth Tranche 1 data transport mission. The rocket and payload remain healthy, and additional time allows for double checks on vehicle systems and range deconfliction → spacex.com/launches/sda-t1tl…
Looks like Chris has pulled out as a speaker at the event with less than a week before it starts. It could be for many reasons but it is interesting…
Replying to @Kemp
@Kemp will also be speaking at an event in October at a startup gathering in Turkey. Hopefully, we will get some new information from him about what Astra has been up to at both of these events. istanbulslushd.com/speakers
