Many students risk missing out on university and TVET, expected to cover up to 40% of tuition, costs their families can’t afford. Their dreams are hanging by a thread.
Your support can keep them in school.

A name says a lot about a place. But not Kakamega Likuyani, Coner Mbaya (Bad corner). This nascent group is redefining bottom up building. Nice to have represented @KCDF in a voluntary experience sharing. How can they avoid being donor driven yet be able to mobilise support widely
Looking forward to two exhilarating days during this 4th Annual Civic Space Protection Summit,Mombasa.... And big on the agenda is an accelerated full implementation of the 2013 PBO act @KCDF @CIVICUSalliance

The “Measurement is Political” session, was a must attend where there was a discussion on alternative ways of measuring success that go beyond numbers.
Emphasis was placed on the importance of minimizing numbers and maximizing narratives & using locally owned indicators.

Measuring what matters needs to focus on community contribution, based on what is impact for the community and incorporate story telling as a way of measurement. @Caesarngule @KCDF @ShiftThePower_ @globalfundcf #ShiftThePower

Ants are great creatures when they come together. This is the concept of #ShiftThePower movement. Bring together different communities to build a strong "anthill". We need each other @NAfadzinu @KCDF @ShiftThePower_ @globalfundcf
Today (hypothetically am thinking like a loaded international private foundation) men, the things I will do to shift power #shiftingthepower @KCDF @GivingForChange ...Like no more proposal writing. we have unrestricted funding
Measurement is political. Even if it means sitting on the flr to ventilate at the Shiftthepower summit in Bogota. When did we complicate measurement this much? #shiftthepower @GivingForChange @KCDF
We don't fund around thematic priorities, but around what communities says they want..says Soheir Asaad @RawaFund . That's cleaver. Who introduces these layers of restrictions by the time funding gets to communities. Unrestrict #shiftthepower @GivingForChange @KCDF
We must avoid converting social movements to NGOs #ShiftThePower @ambikasat. I dare say funding should not add layers of organizational complexities that can only be sustained through foreign funding @GivingForChange

In 2016 the world promised to give a quarter of all international development aid to local organisations (up from 3 percent). "It felt like there was momentum," says @hodgsonjj. Instead the proportion "went down." #ShiftThePower
