Thank you @HarveyforNY for speaking w/PS188M students re NYS Packaging Recycling Infrastructure Act. They ask NYS Assembly to pass a bill that makes plastic producers:
💲pay for their waste,
🌏 make less plastic,

ICYMI 🔥☠️ Houston, TX experienced two toxic fires last week, causing evacuations or shelter-in-place. The common factor? #Plastic: a petrochemical facility upstream & a recycling facility downstream. The #plastic supply chain is dangerous at every step. bit.ly/3sz7e5x

NY sues @PepsiCo for #plastic harm. While corporate polluters profit, everyday people pay the price with polluted air, water & health risks. The public has foot the bill for too long. May this be the first of many more cases to hold polluters accountable. bit.ly/3sLT80x
Thank you @pas55SI for educating your school community on the harms of single-use plastic! One #PlasticFreeLunch Day leads to another!
