坐过十几万吨大型豪华邮轮的人都会觉得神奇：在海上遇上七八级大风浪，旁边的货船晃得人都站不稳，为什么二十层楼高的邮轮里连餐桌上的红酒杯都不怎么晃？
因为现代巨型邮轮在水线以下 10 米的船体两侧，藏着一对造价数千万的“折叠式液压减摇鳍（Fin Stabilizers）”。
一旦陀螺仪感应到海浪拍击，船底就会像变形金刚一样向左右两侧伸出两片长达六七米的大机翼；船往左倾，水下机翼就瞬间反转角度利用水流产生几十吨的向上升力把船身死死托平，抵消掉 85% 以上的摇晃。
不过邮轮船长在海上最怕的不是大风浪，而是机舱底层积攒的那点“含油舱底污水（Bilge Water）”。

Chuck Todd dug up a precedent from Florida where a GOP State senate candidate recruited a decoy with the same last name as his opponent and scored a narrow win. He was charged, incarcerated for 60 days, 5 yrs probation and banned for life from politics.
