2 years ago today my Grandma left us. It seems like yesterday that I last felt her warm smile on me, yet the pain feels much older. Since then there have been some ups & many downs, and in truth it has sucked. But it sucks all the more that you’re not here. I miss you, Grandma…
I can’t believe it’s been a year already. Since you’ve been gone, my life has changed so much… My mental health issues have pushed some of my closest friends away, and I don’t blame them. But, Amy, I know you would have loved me no matter my problems. I love you and I miss you…
My work has already found someone to replace me, so this may be my last day of work, depending on when the person is ready to start. If not today, then sometime early next week. Should be great! In other news, does this week feel like the longest week ever? For me, it kinda does.
My life is an open book, and I write its pages. Now I will turn the page and start a new chapter. I am the author of my destiny.
In 2 weeks from now, I will say goodbye to my job of 6 years. Things have changed dramatically over time, and this has been the number 1 factor affecting my mental health for a long time. If you are in a job that is affecting you THAT much… it’s time to leave it. Lesson learned.
For months and years I’ve let my mental health go unchecked, and I relied on my friends to keep me up. Friends will be there to catch you when you fall, but don’t you EVER take them for granted! They cannot always be there for you. You MUST make the effort to not fall first.(1/7)
To everyone I hurt, I promise to finally do what you’ve told me to do from the start. You were 100% right, and I was 100% wrong. But sometimes friends know you better than you know yourself.(6/7)
Don’t take for granted what you’ve got, just appreciate that you have it. You don’t miss things until their gone, so reach out for it and grab it. And just cherish it for the important thing it is, otherwise it’ll end up something that you’ll miss.
