I run a corporate consulting firm that specializes in small businesses, and I've dealt with more dysfunctional owners like this than I care to remember. I can tell you EXACTLY what's going on here.
This guy had HALF his competent workforce walk off the job, can’t retain new hires even after doubling wages, and the workers who do stick around can’t even clean a fish tank without causing thousands of dollars in damages.
And his conclusion is that an entire generation is unemployable?! Complete and utter nonsense.
I can practically guarantee that if I sat down with the employees who quit, it wouldn't even take five minutes to figure out why they all left:
An arrogant, insufferable, Boomer tyrant who treats his employees like garbage, blames everyone else for his own failures, and has created such a miserable working environment that anyone with two functioning brain cells and another employment opportunity immediately slams the eject button.
Which, incidentally, explains why the only employees he can retain are apparently too stupid to tie their own shoes.
The most incredible part is that this guy thinks offering $35 an hour somehow vindicates him.
Do you have any idea how thoroughly you have to screw up as an employer to make $73,000 a year CLEANING FISH TANKS sound like a bad deal?
And rather than engage in even a moment of self-reflection, he takes to X, publicly announcing that everyone who has ever worked for him is a lazy, incompetent moron.
I cannot imagine why people don’t want to work for this man.
I've got news for you, pal, and you might want to pay attention because I normally charge $400 an hour for this:
When everyone who has the ability to leave your business does so, and the only people left are the ones nobody else will hire, it isn’t an employee problem. It’s a YOU problem.
And the fact that you apparently had to shut down an otherwise profitable business before figuring that out tells me everything I need to know about why you had no business running one in the first place.
The newer generations are unemployable, so I shut down a business yesterday.
I have many small businesses I got involved in, one is a Saltwater fish store. It sells fish, corals, aquariums etc.
The most profitable part of one of these stores is outside Maintenance. Going to peoples houses, changing the fish tanks water, cleaning glass etc.
This is a very simple job, you run a hose in from the truck, suck water out, pump water in (nothing manual), and use a magnetic razor blade to clean the glass. Take a water sample and leave.
We had 4 trucks and 6 guys doing this... then 5, 4, 3... each person that quit put more work on the ones left.
We tried to hire, it's a very low skill job. Most maintenance guys make $15-18 an hour. We went upto $35 an hour to try and get people. Beyond that we cannot be profitable.
The job is easy, you have to have a license (actually hard as hell apparently), and pass a background check (youre in peoples homes, also hard as hell). Pass a drug test.
At $35 an hour we got the following.
Someone that caused almost 8k of damage when they started pumping in water, went out "for a smoke" and the tank overflowed.
At least 5 hires that went through background tests, drug tests etc then didn't show for work the 1st day and never called us again.
Someone that intentionally pulled the guard off the water pumping hose, and sucked someones fish into the pump.
Someone that scratched the District Attourney of las vegas, Steve Wolfson's tank by deciding to not use the magnetic razor, and "do it by hand"... fo no fucking reason. (4k bill)

I have no empathy, at least in Las Vegas, for people complaining about no work, no jobs blah blah blah.
$6000 a month to put hoses in and out of a tank and look at pretty fish.

We already pay for their breakfast, snacks & lunch via SNAP/EBT. But the parents are too lazy to feed their children the food we bought them so Dems want us to pay for it a 2nd time & have the school give it to them instead of addressing the real problem. The parents.

Republicans, however, still hold the House, the Senate, and the White House. Every branch. That’s the whole game board.
They are still in control of all three branches. The clock has not run out.
For those worried about public perception and “ optics”,they’re going extinct regardless.
It is time to save the beleaguered taxpayer before they permanently go extinct through imported new voters, which will outnumber the natives.
End H-1B visas and close the student loopholes. Every visa that lets people come here and embed themselves should be permanently, gone.
Codify the law so that no one can legally ever open the border again. Not by executive order. Not by a future president. By statute. Permanent. DO SOMETHING!!!
If they don’t, the border will open even wider this time around.
The numbers say a liberal wins the next presidential election.
No action means amnesty, and amnesty means 60 to 100 million new Democrat/liberal voters. That’s not a talking point. That’s math.
Republicans have the votes. They have the branches. They have one window. Codify or lose it forever. And if they won’t act, remember what “go nuclear” really means. It’s the only tool left when the other side plays for keeps.

Small local NJ election STOLEN using electronic voting machines with only 43 voters.
The final count was 33 to 10, but the woman who lost called the people that voted because she knew all of them, and they found out that her votes were switched with her opponents by someone on the inside of her county.
We have a serious problem in America with these voting machines and nothing seems to be happening about it.

USCIS approved 270,000 H-1B petitions in nine months, 97 percent of them. Most were renewals and job switches for people already here, not new hires. India makes up about 70 percent.[](<tripletrad.com/h1b-visa-stat…>)
Each of these visas chips away at nice careers for our young people and further erodes our middle class. American tech workers keep getting laid off. Companies still say they cannot find talent. Then they re-up the exact same foreign workforce they already have.
How does any of this help a real American who just got walked out with a box? It does not. It just lets companies keep the labor they want, at the price they prefer, without competing harder for the people who live here.
BREAKING: NEW FY2026 H-1B DATA IS LIVE
THE $100,000 H-1B FEE DID NOTHING TO SLOW NEW APPROVALS.
This covers the fiscal year from October 2025 to September 2026.
The fee started in September 2025. FY2026 was the first full year with it in place.
First-time approvals still rose 10.6%, to 126,985 from 114,804.
Continuing approvals fell 8.0% to 268,191, down from 291,543.
Total approvals came in at 395,176, down just 2.7% from 406,347 in FY2025.
All figures are APPROVED petitions, meaning either a new employee or an employee keeping their job or starting a new one.
That's 395,176 approvals for foreigners on a temporary visa to start or continue to work in America.

Here's the real reason Trump announced that we're "cutting aid to Israel":
They plan is to effectively merge the IDF with our military through a provision in the NDAA, allowing the Israelis to help themselves on what we pay for without any of us knowing about it. We pay, they take advantage.
This has the additional downside of our "ally," which loves to spy on us, to do even more of it.
They think you're stupid.. Don't fall of it. We need to decouple from Israel and not play these games.
