this is California Scrub-Jay, known for his majestic blue feathers and.. not-so-majestic calls.
on my commissioned art trip to Big Sur, California, I stayed in a place called Morro Bay.
before hitting the road, i woke up early to explore an abandoned, soon-to-be-demolished power plant. that's where i met this little blue fella.
i was able just to get a few photos before we parted ways forever. now, he lives forever in my art
