Sharing my love for music by giving a song every day that I think people should hear. Typically alt/indie but varies depending on what I’ve been listening to.

@mlearymusic does a brilliant cover of "True Faith" by New Order. I'm very particular about covers of bands as close to my heart as New Order (being the stubborn, sentimental person I am), but I think this was incredibly well done.

My absence has come to an end! Travelling has been so much fun, but I am also glad to be home. Songs of the day are returning :)
Sorry that I’ve been inactive, I’ve been doing a lot of travelling lately and haven’t really had a moment to sit.
Expect more next month from me!

"No Matter" by @Sonoaband is such a gorgeous track with full, heavy guitar and bass that, when it hits, makes for such a satisfying payoff. It's like if you took Ben Gibbard's vocals and had Superheaven and Basement collaborate on the instrumentals.

"I don't mind" by @TheMercians is a screaming-to-the-chorus-in-the-car type alt rock tune. I've seen this band on my TL a lot the past few days what with a successful festival set, and all of their music is a lot of fun.
The next big thing for sure.

"False Alarm" by Porcelain is a gorgeous track that reminds me of older Coldplay, especially in the vocals. It is catchy and upbeat yet somewhat spacey/gazey at the same time, feeling kind of bittersweet. I think this song is composed so beautifully.

"Is Ainm Dom" by @Moxiemuso is a modern take on Irish trad and innovative pop-ification of the sound, combining the heart of Irish trad through the instrumentals and use of the Irish language with catchy production and impressive female pop vocals.

"Deep End" by @plasticineband_ is a badass tune with a grungy sound and female vocals, similar to bands like Veruca Salt and Hole. It feels nostalgic of the '90s while sitill maintaining that modern alt-rock sound.

"The Ball" by @youthsectorband is a lively, upbeat track reminiscent of music like Talking Heads, yet contradicts itself in a beautiful way, with a tune you can't help but dance to with a darker message about anti-homeless structures and attitudes.
