🚫 Don’t let rogue waste collectors cost you £1,000.
This #FightFlyTippingFortnight, we're urging residents to check before booking a private waste collection.

ALT A large pile of fly-tipped waste dumped on a roadside. The rubbish includes broken white wooden furniture panels, brown cardboard, black plastic bin bags, wooden pallets, pieces of polystyrene, and blue plastic wrapping. The image is framed at the top and bottom by red and yellow hazard stripes. In the upper left corner, a yellow box contains black text reading "Person of Binterest" next to a small wheelie bin icon.

In recent days, we’ve seen investment and homes being blocked by short-sighted populism in London.
We will never let that mindset takeover Greenwich.
We’re getting things done 🌹

Greenwich Labour is tackling the housing crisis, with the most build starts in London this year 🏗️
Last night at Full Council we committed to building 6,000 new council, social and low rent homes over the next decade. 🏡
We’re not waiting around. We’re getting things done. 🧱🌹

Today, I stand with Aberfan. I stand with the people of Aberfan, and I stand with the community as we honour the memory of all those that were lost.

HMO action ➡️ Signed, sealed, delivered. ✅
Greenwich Labour is getting things done. 🌹
Calum O'Byrne Mulligan retweeted
From today, the HMO measures in our new Local Plan will be taken into account in planning decisions:
🏠 No new HMOs under 130sqm
🏠 No new HMOs where 3 of the nearest 10 homes are HMOs
Good shared housing matters, but so do family homes. This helps get the balance right.

Our statement on the motion passed at the Green Party conference, setting out Greenwich Labour’s position and the questions we are asking our @GreenGreenwich councillors to answer.

I am presuming that Greenwich's Green Party will be able to confirm that both the proposer of the motion & their councillors are not actively working with anyone who was found to have carried out antisemitic behaviour whilst a member of other political parties.
Calum O'Byrne Mulligan retweeted
He’s correct, it is antisemitic, indefensible, and has no place in government. But neither does the Green Party position on nuclear weapons or NATO. No deals with parties actively working to undermine British national security.
Greenwich Labour stand against all forms of racism - but it isn’t clear the Greenwich Greens do given their divisive conference motion, which was proposed by one of their local members.
Greenwich Greens need to make clear where they and their Cllrs stand.
Greenwich Labour are delivering the Active Travel Voucher, our plan to use developers cash to help every child get a bike or scooter
But the Greens & Tories are working together to try & stop it, voting against plans to help kids get active, decarbonise journeys & help local biz
We won the vote thanks to Labour Councillors standing together.
But you can tell the Greenwich Greens & Tories what you think by signing our petition calling Tory and Green councillors to give cross party support to the Active Travel Voucher: survey.labour.org.uk/ptzdy7a…

“In London cyclists now outnumber cars in the City by 2 to 1. Paris, where they now outnumber motorists across the whole city, is catching up with Europe’s traditional bike capitals, Amsterdam & Copenhagen…In Copenhagen, bikes account for almost half of commuter trips to work/school.” @economist.com economist.com/international/…

Works to improve safety around Plumcroft Primary School begin on Plum Lane (12 Oct to 31 Oct) at the junctions with Genesta, Hinstock & Nithdale roads. Roads will remain open, but temporary parking suspensions & traffic lights will be in place.
Thankyou for your patience.

Kemi Badenoch thinks “privatisation was a success". She's living in an alternate reality.
Water is a symbol of what has gone wrong in Britain.
In the years since privatisation our waterways have been pumped with sewage whilst water bosses receive bonus after bonus.
Labour is putting an end to this with a strengthened Water Bill which will repeal Margaret Thatcher’s ideological ban on public ownership of water companies.
And we’ll also give Mayors new powers to hold water companies to account, and close the loopholes water companies use to pay excessive bonuses.

It really is quite remarkable that the Green Party has decided that anyone who believes in a two-state solution* to the Israel-Palestine problem is a “racist”.
*Improbable as such a solving may be now.

Being a member of virtually any synagogue in the UK as a Jew is now racist behaviour according to Green Party policy.
This is horrifying and must be condemned across politics.
Calum O'Byrne Mulligan retweeted
It comes down to this.
To even have a HOPE of pretending your motion isn’t antisemitic, you accept this amendment. Obviously.
It was instead rejected twice. First in a pre-conference meeting on amendments, then by party members in the hall.
This is now what the Green Party is.
