Cambridge Defend Education

CDE visits the @RMTunion picket line! Rail workers are on strike against cuts and freezes to workers' pay. Come along to the Cambridge station until 2pm to show your support. Collective action makes a difference! Solidarity between students & workers forever 💪💪💪

recognition is a huge step forward for working conditions, organising and union power! ✊together we can win✊

years of strikes, protest, occupations, organising and negotiations won this for @CambridgeUCU

When the University denies workers a real seat at the table by refusing to recognise UCU, students won't allow UCU's demands go unheard

Whilst Toope and other senior management enjoy fancy dinners and six figure paychecks, the workers that actually provide our education face increasing precarity, huge gender and racial pay gaps and massive pension cuts.

It is outrageous that University management still refuse to listen to the demands of UCU, forcing workers to go on strike for the third time this academic year

💥CDE DISRUPTS TOOPE SPEECH IN SUPPORT OF STRIKES💥 today, on the last working day before UCU goes on strike, we disrupted Toope's speech at the Clare benefactors dinner.

⚠️ We have occupied Sidgwick Lecture Block in solidarity with the UCU strikes! ⚠️
