Today, our team, alongside a representative of the Director of Maroua Regional Hospital, joined #CRTV Maroua to raise awareness about our ongoing cancer screening campaign.

1/3 Our Cancer Screening and Awareness Project officially took off in 🇨🇲Maroua with a major sensitisation campaign on 24 October 2026.
Free screening for breast & cervical cancers began on 26 October at the Regional Hospital, with strong turnout from women in the community.
2/3 Screening continues until 31st, while prostate and colorectal cancer screening will run from 9–14 November at the Maroua Reference Hospital.
Today, CAMCHEV members joined the team to encourage participants & urge them to help spread the message within their communities.
3/3 Sensitisation was also interpreted into Fulfulde to improve accessibility and reach.
Training for health personnel follows tomorrow, alongside further media sensitisation, including an appearance on CRTV.

Following the official signing of the Grant Agreement with @UKinCameroon to support the implementation of the Cancer Screening and Awareness Project, we’re officially on the move!
From September–December 2026, #CAMCHEV will implement the project concurrently in Bamenda & Maroua
2/3 This week, we will confirm the regional leads for Bamenda and Maroua, finalise the partner hospitals and focal persons, set the launch date for each region, establish the regional implementation teams covering screening, and begin media engagement ahead of the launches.
3/3 🎯Target per site: 500+ people screened, 20+ health personnel trained, alongside strong community and mass-media awareness.
