Help us welcome the first baby bison of the season at Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge in Colorado! Did you know a bison calf is called a "red dog"? This red dog was spotted last weekend.

It’s funny, because I gave a workshop a few days ago titled ‘communicating science in an age of distrust’, and one of the things I mentioned is that academia has a tendency to be incredibly patronizing which excludes the public and limits professionals from being authentic. – at Berkeley, CA

When people say they’ve never seen baby pigeons, we just blink repeatedly and sometimes let a small sob escape. 📷: Nooa Kuusisto

Reminder that disability is a spectrum. It is sad to see so many disabled people accused of "faking" because they can walk, type, or engage in physical activities sometimes.

Porto, Portugal. The worlds climate is destabilising. Scientists are screaming at us that it threatens our ability to grow enough food and we may permanently collapse human civilisation. Please RT, educate your friends and family and demand action youtu.be/EOctIuyVfnA

Naive question, but can I bulk submit images to recolorize & have it choose 10 colors from that batch of images? @CamilleJBlock & I have about 200 images of pigeons but the birds vary wildly in color, so we would like to get a palette from the entire batch.

People who believe paleontologists were only hesitant to divide T. rex into three species because they’re so iconic have clearly never seen the entomology community argue over fleas.
