Just a reminder that a man convicted of first-degree murder escaped prison 2 days ago and still hasn't been re-captured.
In 1998 Mason Jenkins stole a gun, shot his sister 5 times, dragged her body down to the basement and had initially planned to kill both his parents as well.
He forged his parents wills to make himself the sole beneficiary.
His plan fell apart though when he learned his parents would be arriving home at the same time and he realized he would have little chance of killing them both with a single shot rifle.
Mason Jenkins is 49 years old, stands 175 cm (5’9”) tall and weighs 116 kg (256 lbs). He has a fair complexion, brown eyes and a shaved head.

In the online-only extra, Andrew Coyne finally said it plainly: “Moving in the wrong direction is they are going to increase and indeed entrench subsidies to the news media to our business. I thought this was a bad idea when they first introduced it… it was going to be this temporary emergency stopgap… Well, once we got our hooks into the public taxpayer, you’ll never get us off it. So in fact, they’re increasing the amount of and they’re going to make it pretty much permanent. And they’ve expanded it beyond just the newspaper business now into audio visual. This is not good for the future of the news business in this country.”

Dangerous offender Robert Teneycke, 64, has been denied parole.
His criminal career began in 1985 when he was convicted of multiple break & enters and robberies.
3 days after he was released from prison in 1993 he sexually assaulted a 17 year old girl.
In addition to those offences, he has convictions for assault, assault causing bodily harm, and multiple convictions for uttering threats.
After a string of robberies and the shooting of a man who picked him up while hitchhiking, Robert Teneycke was finally declared a dangerous offender in 2018.
