Thats awesome! I’d love to see more programs available for adults who want to start hockey but are facing financial barriers. Thats why I put off starting so long. I get kids are the future but growing the sport means getting as many people as possible playing/interested

Mack is awesome! They also take equipment donations and help kids out who need pieces or full sets of hockey gear. They were nominated for the NHL Willie O’Ree award and have a cool documentary on them the NHL made. Highly recommended people check em out as well

PUBLIC NOTICE
Ontario Superior Court Refuses to Reinstate Former Member of the CCHL; League Welcomes New Member in Pembroke
OTTAWA, ON — July 31, 2026 — The Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) is pleased to provide the following update regarding its membership in Pembroke.
In September 2025, the CCHL terminated the membership of 2695193 Ontario Inc., the company that had been operating as the Pembroke Lumber Kings.
On July 24, 2026, Justice Hooper of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice dismissed an application for an interlocutory injunction that sought to reinstate the membership of 2695193 Ontario Inc. in the CCHL. The Court's decision leaves the League's September 2025 membership termination in effect.
The CCHL has moved forward by welcoming Brian Johnstone as a new League member. Mr. Johnstone is committed to providing long-term stability for Junior A hockey in the City of Pembroke. He and his staff have already begun preparing for the upcoming season with the goal of building a first-class organization and creating an outstanding environment where players can develop both on and off the ice.
The CCHL maintains that it holds the rights to the Pembroke Lumber Kings name. However, that issue remains in dispute with the League's former member. To avoid confusion within the community while that matter is being resolved, Mr. Johnstone's team will operate under the name Pembroke Jr. A Hockey Club. The League looks forward to a successful and exciting season of Jr. A hockey!

TD Place, we appreciate you so much 🫶
Right from day one, you welcomed us with open arms and gave us a place to build something special. You gave us a space to make history, celebrate our milestones, and open a new chapter for professional women's hockey in Ottawa. We will never forget the energy that filled the building on game nights, the roar of the crowd after every goal, and the sense of community that grew stronger with every season. As we move forward, we do so with immense gratitude for everything TD Place has meant to our team, our players, our staff, and our fans. You were where our journey began, and that foundation will always remain a part of who we are. There will never be enough words to thank you for believing in us, supporting us, and helping us establish our roots. ❤️
