🌍 Russia is increasingly recruiting Africans to fight against Ukraine as it struggles with a shortage of soldiers — Bloomberg Moscow has sharply stepped up recruitment across African countries in an effort to replenish its battlefield losses. According to Ukrainian intelligence, 699 people from Burundi were recruited into the Russian army in the first nine months of 2026, compared with just 30 in all of 2025. In Zimbabwe, the number jumped from 65 to 530. Recruitment has also increased in Sudan, Cameroon, Sierra Leone, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Some Africans are lured to Russia with promises of ordinary civilian jobs, only to potentially end up fighting against Ukraine. Several African governments have already raised concerns about these recruitment methods. According to Ukrainian intelligence, 45,959 foreigners from 151 countries have signed contracts with the Russian military since the start of the full-scale invasion, including 5,451 citizens of African nations. Russia claimed it was fighting to “protect Russians” — yet increasingly, it's recruiting people from another continent to fight its war.

This chart is insane. This shows Russia's casualties over time compared to Russia's territorial gains in Ukraine over the last five years. No sane or rational person would say continuing the war to try and take more of Ukraine's territory is worth the casualties.

⛑️Ukraine has now carried out at least three known aerial evacuations of wounded soldiers from the battlefield using heavy drones. In two new cases reported by SkyFall, Ukraine’s 475th Separate Assault Regiment CODE 9.2 evacuated two severely wounded soldiers using StarGate drones. During one mission, the drone flew nearly 60 km round-trip despite Russian GPS jamming, relying on AI-assisted navigation. Vampire heavy drones provided cover. Both soldiers were rescued from the gray zone, approximately 5 km from the Russian border, where ground evacuation was impossible. Together with an earlier aerial CASEVAC using a Gurzuf Defence drone, this brings the number of publicly known cases to three.

🚂🔥 Trump's diesel delivery didn't make it? Fuel train derails in Russia's Urals A major railway accident occurred overnight on October 26 in Russia's Sverdlovsk region. Twenty railcars derailed, with seven fuel tankers catching fire. Local residents reported waking up to the sounds of explosions as a massive column of thick black smoke rose above the crash site. The fire spread across 1,500 square meters. Train traffic on the affected section was suspended due to damage and the closure of an adjacent track.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 The US is ready to launch a large-scale operation against Iran within 96 hours of Trump's order, - CNN The scale of the new operation will likely go beyond attacks on radars, launchers, and other Iranian facilities that can be quickly restored. US officials believe the question is not whether Trump will order the operation, but when. According to CNN sources, Israel has apparently postponed plans for immediate strikes but continues to prepare for a possible joint operation with the US.

🥴 Putin will demand that NATO return to its 1997 borders in a new round of talks, — The Telegraph. Russia’s motive for involving European countries in the talks is to pressure for concessions regarding the expansion of the Alliance, which the dictator called the “root cause” of the war. This concerns the potential withdrawal of NATO troops from Poland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, as well as from Finland, which joined the Alliance in 2023. Russia has already made such demands in 2021-2022 on the eve of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Yet another example of Elon either not knowing what he’s talking about while speaking with absolute confidence, or deliberately lying. The vast majority of Russian troops fighting in Ukraine are contract soldiers, recruited with hefty signing bonuses or released from prisons

And finally: I am Ukrainian. I don't feel sorry for Russian soldiers. They are attacking our homes. They are killing our children. They killed this infant and his mother a few days ago in Kharkiv region. So that Russians don't die, they need to get out of my country. That's all, Elon @elonmusk

The irony is that even Elon Musk’s own AI can fact-check him and explain why he’s wrong. Russia hasn't launched another mass mobilization since 2022. Instead, it relies heavily on paid contract soldiers. In 2025 alone, Russia recruited an estimated 364,000 contract soldiers. In 2026, it's still recruiting around 20,000–30,000 a month, offering signing bonuses averaging over $20,000, plus salaries and benefits. By claiming Russians “have no choice,” Musk once again shows how little he understands Russian society. Widespread corruption, bribery, and draft evasion have allowed many Russians to avoid military service for years. Many Russians aren't being forced to fight. They're signing up for money. Coercion exists, but so does financial motivation. Hundreds of thousands are signing contracts to fight for money.

The endless slaughter of Ukrainian and Russians must stop. We should some sympathy for the poor Russian conscripts too. Those kids have no choice but to fight and die in drone strikes.

Two Storm Shadow strikes on Russian military-industrial plants just two days apart. Such strikes have been relatively rare, and now we see two Storm Shadow strikes just two days apart: Oryol’s Proton-Electrotex electronics plant on October 23, and Yelets’ Energiya missile-battery plant on October 25. Hopefully, this is the start of a more sustained campaign.
