I ran the $SOLTAO repo past my token research agent & the TLDR was this: "There is actually real tech here. This isn’t a token with a fancy website pretending to be infrastructure. The repo contains a working Solana → Bittensor gateway with: • Canonical TAO bridging via LayerZero • Deterministic Solana → Bittensor wallet creation • Root + subnet staking • Validator/subnet checks before funds are sent • Price-limited Alpha staking to protect against bad execution • Unstaking + routes back to Solana • Position/holdings management • Transactions that can recover/resume if the page closes • Mainnet-state transaction replay testing • A genuinely extensive test suite What impressed me most is the dev is clearly testing against actual Bittensor behaviour, finding weird edge cases and fixing them rather than just building the happy path. They even found a situation where Bittensor could accept a subnet stake that technically succeeded but would earn nothing, and changed the routing logic to prevent users doing it. There’s also a proper documented bug history covering RPC issues, transaction settlement, replay protection, subnet validation, slippage protection, browser recovery and wallet security. The bigger vision is also pretty clear: soltao.xyz wants to become the Solana front door to Bittensor" I think with some traction @SOLTENSOR could become even bigger, imagine being able to pay for @TargonCompute or @chutes_ai compute just with the $SOLTAO token? Going to let this one cook.
