More people died in the Somaliland genocide than in Palestine conflict. However the Somaliland genocide was only brought up twice in the UN ever! Both in 1990 and 2025 both times by Israel.
They tell me Israel is bad, and Arabs are good. Yet the facts contradict this.

I was honored to welcome the Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hamza Abdi Barre, in Jeddah today. We had a pleasant and productive discussion on several important matters, in an atmosphere of mutual respect and appreciation.

Trump just called Somaliland a “totally different country” from Somalia and suggested renaming it to make the distinction clear.
For 35 years Somaliland has run its own government, army, and elections while Somalia has remained a failed state drawing heavy U.S. aid.
One side has celebrated the American flag in its streets. The other has been filmed stomping it.
Crowds in Hargeisa immediately waved both flags after Trump’s remarks.
The facts haven’t changed, only the question of how long American tax dollars keep treating the two as the same.
Shortly after President Trump differentiated between lowly garbage Somalians and the honorable people of Somaliland comedians are already taking note of the distinction.

We need to ignore the people crying racism and call a spade a spade.
100,000 Somalis were planted in Minnesota and they immediately entrenched themselves in government and pilfered the coffers.
They stole billions of dollars and instead of solving the situation, criminal enterprises are forming to protect the cash flow.
There needs to be federal action. This is absolutely insane.

I had a productive meeting with Somaliland President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi yesterday.
Somaliland has already established itself as a reliable partner for the United States on a range of issues, from countering terrorism to protecting shipping around the Horn of Africa. We discussed further strengthening the U.S.-Somaliland partnership.
I have been pushing the United States to deepen our partnership. I am committed to securing American recognition of Somaliland’s sovereignty and, in the meantime, I’m urging the State Department to stop treating Somaliland as the same as Somalia. The U.S. should establish a region-specific Travel Advisory specifically for Somaliland, which would reflect the reality on the ground.
I look forward to continuing our work to advance our shared security interests.
@JMeservey has been a hardcore advocate for Somaliland for quite some time. He is in the same bloc as Ted Cruz and Senator Risch.
