Once I finished the Early Access portion of the game, I let it rest. A few times I’d redownload to check the new class they added but nothing major. From everything I played, I had faith that Larian would deliver when the game would eventually be released.

It was a bit of a wait, to be fair, but the end product was everything I hoped for and more. There is a level of player agency in this game that I hardly thought was possible from an RPG.

And hearing that Square was making a Guardians of the Galaxy game where only Starlord was playable? I immediately wrote it off. I was so wrong with my assumption. When I had heard that it won best narrative at The Game Awards, my interest piqued. (2)
