Meet Wicknell Munodaani Chivayo. 43 years old. Zimbabwean. Founder of Intratrek Zimbabwe. Known locally as "Sir Wicknell." He calls President Ruto his "father and mentor." He has visited State House Nairobi, Sagana State Lodge, and Wajir State Lodge. In February 2026, he was granted a Kenyan passport a fact made public not by the government, but by activist Boniface Mwangi.
Here is what Kenya needs to know about the man collecting Kenyan travel documents and government-adjacent contracts while barely out of Zimbabwean courtrooms.
In 2004, Chivayo was convicted of theft and illegal foreign currency exchange money laundering and sentenced to three years in prison, which he served at Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison. Not alleged. Convicted. Served time. Behind bars. In a maximum security facility.
He rebuilt. In 2015, his company Intratrek Zimbabwe was awarded a contract to construct a 100-megawatt solar power plant in Gwanda, for which it received an advance payment of US$5 million from the Zimbabwe Power Company without carrying out substantive work on the project. The lights never came on. The solar plant was never built. The $5 million was gone. He faced multiple rounds of criminal prosecution over the advance payment but due to his close alleged links to Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa, he was ultimately acquitted in 2024. Close political connections are a remarkable legal strategy. Highly effective. Zero costs.
Then in 2024, leaked audio recordings linked him to a US$100 million contract for the supply of election materials to the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission. His former business partners accused Ren-Form and Chivayo of inflating costs by up to 235%. South Africa's Financial Intelligence Centre investigation concluded that more than R800 million was transferred to the business bank accounts of Wicknell Chivayo from this deal. In December 2025, the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission closed its probe saying it could not find contractual evidence tying him to the deal. However, sources told the Zimbabwe Independent that the Hawks' investigation in South Africa was "very much alive." In April 2026, a South African High Court issued an anti-dissipation order freezing assets, bank accounts, and a private jet linked to several of his entities. South Africa's FBI equivalent is still on the case. The jet is frozen. The investigation is alive.
Now here is the Kenya chapter.
In June 2026, ZimLive reported that his company IMC Construction Kenya had won a stake in a US$2.9 billion contract to expand Jomo Kenyatta International Airport joining the Chinese state-owned China Communications Construction Company and its subsidiary, China Road and Bridge Corporation, as a joint venture partner. This is the same airport the Adani Group was supposed to expand until that deal collapsed in late 2024 following a US corruption probe and public backlash.
COFEK the Consumers Federation of Kenya had already petitioned the High Court in petition No. E083 of 2026 to bar Chivayo from Kenya entirely, citing his fraud and money-laundering record and tender scandals in Zimbabwe, including the Gwanda solar project and Zimbabwe Electoral Commission contracts. COFEK said IMC Construction Kenya is wholly owned by Chivayo and that the lobby raised concerns the company lacks an airport construction track record.
The government's response? Transport CS Chirchir said Chivayo does not appear in any bidding documentation as a contractor, partner, or joint-venture member. "We don't know this gentleman. I saw him for the first time in the media. He is not in any of our documentation," he said.
"We don't know this gentleman."
The same gentleman who visited State House. Who visited Sagana State Lodge. Who visited Wajir State Lodge on June 1, 2026 to discuss multimillion-dollar investment projects. Who was issued a Kenyan passport in February 2026. THAT gentleman, the government does not know him.
We must agree on one thing: this stadium took away the right to education from millions of Kenyans. It deprived many of their right to accessible healthcare.
At what point does Gachagua outgrow tribal bigotry?
Gachagua will never care about Kenya, the country, or Mt. Kenya and its people. The gentleman is negotiating for his stomach.

Mali Kenya Iko right now you can not afford to be politically neutral. It's juvenile to think that's right. Choose a side and inspect how it'll affect your tomorrow.

Really satisfying to see how Obinna struggles to engage someone who uses his brain. He mumbled in his own show, jumping from one topic to another!

True this. I used to watch it everyday. I unsubscribed and made sure YouTube does not recommend hizo matakataka anymore.

Obinna and his team need a reality check. @edwinsifuna now has a party, a leadership structure and an established hierarchy. You cannot walk into someone else's political platform as a guest and start demanding microphones and equal billing. Know your place and respect protocol.
This dangerous narrative that Our H.E Sifuna cannot survive politically without Babu Owino must end. Sifuna is a leader in his own right, not anyone's political project.
Babu must rein in his supporters, starting with Obinna and @KingSheyii . If they want microphones, prominence and unlimited speaking time, let them organise their own rallies and campaign for their preferred candidate.
Stop using Sifuna's platforms to advance another political agenda. We will not tolerate endless confusion. Respect the party, respect its leadership and respect its structures.H.E Edwin Watenya Sifuna is not a guest in his own party and nobody should mistake his humility for weakness.

Hello, @KenyaPower_Care I want to report fraudulent connections in my estate. And I'd love to see an expedious action taken. It's a cartel involving estate officials collecting money from illegal connections.

Believe me, this is one of many to come. Once the blood-stained well dries up, they'll flood our TL with fake apologies.
YY Comedian, Obinna, Iko Nini Podcast, and many others will be using this same manual.

Well, I didn't expect the reaction to my thoughts that I have! Most see what I was saying. Some of you are missing my point about podcasters and politics. We’re heading into a pivotal period where money, influence and power will be more intense than perhaps any election before it. Obinna is one of Kenya’s most-watched podcasters. Whether he wants it or not, that influence carries an equally heavy responsibility to the people who watch him. Screenshot is from research done by @OdipoDev that we co-published last year. As they say, with great power...
Kasmwel, wake up! You're literally talking to yourself! Ruto doesn't give a hoot about you, or anything stand for (it's stomach anyway) He wiped out the only leverage you had: a strong ODM. Had you stayed true to the spirit of the slain Gen-Zs, maybe you'd have kept a following and retain some relevance.
You're quickly fading away, and it's hurting you to the bone.
President William Ruto’s decisive victory in 2027 will be my only ideological vindication. I have paid too dear a price to allow a few individuals to impose their selfish interests and potentially sabotage it.
It doesn’t matter who it is; I shall only align myself with people committed to making this a reality. The unwavering loyalty I once had for H.E. Raila Odinga, I have now transferred to President William Ruto.
Support for President Ruto MUST be unconditional. I consider it a matter of principle.
TUTAM BILA CONDITIONS.
