What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

When students began anti-Israel protests on college campuses we immediately got an antisemitism task force
Funding was threatened, university administrators were replaced, students were deported
But you can openly mock the assassination of Charlie Kirk and call for more violence and nothing will happen to you
We know what it looks like when the administration wants to protect a group of people, they simply don’t care about protecting their own voters
At @UTSA for Pick Up the Mic, a student read a poem celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk with such glee, then told me I was brave to be out here without my neck covered.

I went down the Holmes rabbit hole around 2021. I get it: she preyed on sensitive young (physically old) billionaires with misplaced paternal girl-dad energy, constant sexual fuck-me eyes, never insecure, always hungry. One of the most compelling recent figures. In tech instead of medicine, she’d be a millionaire. Like Seth Dillon, she lied about her product for a bajillion dollars. She tried to make it work but got over her skis and stayed too long. As a female, she was foisted to fame levels nameless dudes never reached (who remain unscathed). I could fix her. The scammer Indian dude she hooked up with is more to blame than her.
