I Caddied For Michael Vick. He Had $3,000 Riding On It | Scott Carmack |... youtu.be/HXs4K9ToYk8?si=g1-n… via @YouTube
The boys can’t get enough of the game even with having a day at the beach. Work on that putting form. Gotta love the game!
Okay golfers what do you do when you have a round that is going sideways? I normally can pull it together but this round was terrible and when I mean terrible I had 8 double bogeys offset by 3 birdies. When I hit it bad, it was bad costing me penalty strokes. It’s one of those round where you don’t feel like your hitting it bad but you are getting terrible breaks and the course is forking you. I shot 89 and then went out the next day and carded a 77? What a crazy game.
Finally had a day that the heat index wasn’t 105 and was able to enjoy walking Harbour Town. Course just coming off aeration but was in fantastic shape. Greens a little slow so could be a little aggressive on the putts. Carded a 79 so thrilled I finally broke 80 on this course. Had 180 into 18 and hit 5 hybrid just on back of green. Putt was dead in jar for an easy par.
Happy 4th everyone! Nothing like playing in a couples tournament taking 1 score on odd holes and 2 on even holes. We finished 2nd place at -11. The wife won closest to the pin hitting the pin and resting to 1’11”. A fun day in the low country!
Played Long Cove today in Hilton Head. Course was in great shape and the greens were rolling a 12 on the stipmeter. Love the holes on the back nine. I can see why this is rated a top course for the area. If you get a chance to play it take the invite.
I know everyone has given Wyndham Clark a hard time since last year’s incident and will say his apology needed to be more heartfelt. I will say having him in our pro-am group he couldn’t have been nicer to the amateur players and caddies. Congrats on your second US Open title.
Played my second summer reciprocal course at Savannah Harbor today. Course was in great shape and greens were rolling a decent 10.5. This course has some fairways the you can fit a Walmart in there and the greens were some of the largest greens I’ve ever putted on. Had a good handful where front to back was 50 yards. Made 3 birdie today shooting a 78. Shaking my head on the 2 doubles missing fairways the size of Walmart 😩😩. Call me stupid!
Yesterday had the pleasure of playing Chechessee Creek. My club participates in a summer reciprocal program with other private clubs in the Hilton Head, Bluffton, Beaufort and Savannah area. I loved the layout as it was very playable. The challenge was around the greens with the turtle back greens. Missed greens made a challenge to get it close to save par. Love the low country style clubhouse and the comfort station was 🔥🔥. Looking forward to checking off the list of others!
Victoria National starting the season off on 🔥🔥. Green speed today 12.8. Bring your pillow to putt with!
Nothing like a Sunday afternoon round. The 18th hole at Sea Pines CC. Very similar to 18 at Harbour Town. Carded a smooth 78 for the day!
Well it’s that time of year! Love caddying in the RBC Heritage Pro-Am. We had Sam Burns and Daniel Berger. GoPlaidNation!

Why is everyone bent out of shape with Rory traveling to Augusta prior to the tournament for practice rounds? Did you all forget Tiger and Phil doing this along with many others over the years? These guys have played the course so many times there is no advantage. They know where the misses are and where to aim for on the greens. You still have to execute when it comes tournament time and hope your strategy pays off.
As a golfer what is the best stretch of holes have you played? Mine was today carding 12 straight pars then making birdie on the next hole playing 1 under through 15 holes until the first bogey on 16. Had a 50 foot putt from off the back of the green so wasn’t too upset. Finished the round with a lousy lip out par putt to shoot 73. So tell me your best stretch.
Played Harbour Town today with a match play round for the clubs Calibogue event. Won the match 4&3 shooting 83. Played terrible on the front with a 44 and was 2 down at one point. A 39 on the back got me back into the match and eventually enough pressure to win. HT getting course in shape for the RBC Heritage in a month and a half.
So what do you take from a round that was a Dr Jeykll and Mr Hide round? Played with a Thursday group at Harbour Town today. Was +9 through first 6 holes, then righted the ship and played the next 9 holes +1 to then finish the last 3 bogey, bogey, bogey for an 84. The good thing it was a beautiful 58 degree sunny day. Course is looking great for the RBC Heritage.
