A campus designed to connect.
Carnegie Mellon University Miami is being created as a comprehensive university campus, not a satellite location or a collection of individual programs.
What will that mean in practice?
Plans include industry research laboratories and venture studios that will bring students, faculty members and partners together, helping promising ideas move from discovery toward real world use.
This is the vision for Carnegie Mellon University Miami: a comprehensive campus where education, research and partnership reinforce one another from the start.

The future has a history.
For more than 125 years, Carnegie Mellon University has grown in Pittsburgh by recognizing consequential change early and investing boldly in what comes next.
The campus’s initial focus areas will include human health, national security, energy and climate resilience, and advanced manufacturing. Education and research will be equally central.
This is the next bold investment in Carnegie Mellon’s history. It is not a departure from the university’s foundation. It is an extension of it.
A new campus. A stronger foundation. One Carnegie Mellon. #CMUMiami
