A lot of terrible takes about what just happened in the BC provincial election.
Lorne Doerkson and his team ran an almost flawless campaign, articulated a compelling vision for the province, and did so WITHOUT abandoning key conservative priorities or principles, including DRIPA, SOGI and ending safe supply.
Those trying to use this victory to argue the federal Conservative Party needs to abandon its conservative principles in order to win an election are doing so either disingenuously or ignorantly.
Conservatism, thoughtfully communicated, is inherently and increasingly popular in all regions of Canada – and with many demographic groups.
An amazing game that is also terrible. If you know you know. The sequels are obviously terrific.
19 years ago, an ambitious dream to bring an iconic book series into the world of video games came to life with the release of The Witcher.
It was the start of an unforgettable path, which wouldn't have been possible without our friends at @bioware.
From lending us their Aurora Engine and sharing their knowledge, to giving us a spot at their booth at E3, their support helped turn our vision into Geralt’s first interactive adventure.
Thank you to everyone who has walked the Path with us from the very beginning.
Happy 19th anniversary, witchers! ⚔️ 🐺

'Conservatives can walk with true swagger, having decisively defeated a powerful progressive government outside the traditional conservative heartland in the West.
From the bottom of our hearts in B.C., thank you, Mr. Eby. You have served your purpose'.
My latest for the @nationalpost.

For the international crowd, the Conservative Party of British Columbia won because it purged the more MAGA wing of the party in a civil war.
The greater differences between Conservative factions in this country are not policy, but levels of anger. You can talk about land/property rights, or gender politics, and sound like someone's sensible neighbour or,you can sound like you spend all day on X. Choose wisely.
The essay in question is offended non-progressive judges have, at times, been appointed to the bench.
It also singles out this terrific Yuan Yi Zhu (@yuanyi_z) column in the Post for criticism. More reason to subscribe to National Post.

Kerry-Lynne Findlay should start a new party with David Eby. They are the ones that brought us this incredible election campaign. Just think of what calamities they could accomplish together.
Don't pull an Eby folks.

So proud of the amazing, endlessly resilient @katy_merrifield and her team for turning catastrophe into a historic victory in just over one month!
One of the greatest turnaround stories in Canadian political history.
When I worked at the Winnipeg Sun, winning sports photos were called jubo shots and losing ones were called deject shots. I am sure other newsrooms use those terms too.
Anyway a lot of jubo of Doerkson and deject of Eby last night.
