Carter, Pierson

🚨Northwestern State Demons🚨 Commit: Class of 27 Kicker Carter Pierson- @CarterPierson98 5-11/165 Covington, LA Carter Pierson is a polished, high-character placekicker and punter from Saint Paul’s School in Covington, Louisiana. A four-year letterman who took over the starting kicking duties as a senior, Pierson has developed into one of the more reliable specialists in the New Orleans metro area. He recently committed to Northwestern State, bringing a smooth, repeatable stroke and the mental makeup that FCS programs value in specialists. • Clean mechanics & repeatability: Excellent plant-foot placement, balanced posture, and a smooth leg swing with good hip rotation. His follow-through is extended and controlled, signs of a technically sound kicker who won’t need major mechanical overhauls at the next level. • Ball striking & consistency: Looks to strike the ball cleanly with a square plant and good ankle lock. This usually translates to consistent contact and reliable accuracy inside 45–50 yards. • Athleticism & balance: Good core stability and arm usage for balance during the kick. He stays over the ball and doesn’t “fall off” the plant foot, a big positive for windy or adverse conditions. • Mental makeup: Four-year letterman who earned All-District honors as a senior. Coaches love specialists who are reliable, coachable, and low-maintenance.
