Here is a payment profile of one of our current African rent-to-own clients 🇲🇿🏠👩🏾🦱
It confirms what we already know at Empowa. People that would never qualify for a mortgage, because they lack proof of income, are able to pay for a quality home via the rent-to-own product! 📈
Families can move in immediately into a home and rent, while they save to buy their home. This can accelerate access to a green and resilient home by decades, as it can take 10-20 years to build a home by oneself and/or save up enough equity for a very expensive mortgage!

Previously, only 3% of Mozambicans could afford a quality home through the country’s mortgage financing systems. Jointly with @empowa_io we expanded access to such a home to over 60% of the population.
