Think I'm scrapping this idea. I can qt my film posts with - transfer dot it - links instead (while it's free). not really happy with my dvd rips yet, so I'll probably start with blu-rays soonish

I think I'll create a thread with the most worthwhile Norwegian films to watch, starting with Jakten (1959). If they are hard to come by, I'll put my badge to good use and upload them (with english subs). If not I'll link to available editions. Once I'm done with my 'archiving project', I'll at least upload all the dvd rips (good and bad) to mega or something.

Norway is literally one of the best, most well-run countries in the world. It doesn’t get better than Norway. But of course, Trump wouldn’t know about any of that. He probably couldn’t even find Norway on a map.

couldn't disagree more. they do it because it's way less effort to get something stylized and kinda cool. that's not to say it isn't played out (it definitely is). in this particular context reality is a million times more hideous. they do more damage by simply walking outside...

I'm sorry but Uma's anime is around 20% (or less) of Uma's content. It's the same as a Pokemon fan who only watched the anime and never played the games. You can be a fan, sure, but you're missing out on like 80% of the content. The anime is purely promotional to the game.

Personally I'm enjoying doing things like modding war in the north to have more enemies and creating english patches for untranslated games. I understand the frustration with people sharing stuff without truly testing it, but I'm definitely enjoying it for my own use 🥂
