Medium Hot Take: you don’t need an expensive demo to start getting heard. You need a sampler: short, polished, and packed with range + acting. Investing in a full professional demo comes later.
YES YOU DO ! But there are things you must learn first, young voice actor. Things you'll learn in out FREE EVENT like: - Telling the difference between a demo and a sampler, and which one you need right now. - How to show off your ability, range, and strongest reads in one tight piece of audio. - Understand what goes into a polished, professional-sounding production. Perfect for newer actors asking, “What am I supposed to send people until I have a demo?” GET IN HERE AND LEARN <3 closingcredits.com/events/44…

Voice actors! We get asked a lot “How do I stop sounding like an announcer and improve my script reading?” Here’s some tips: - Reading copy aloud daily at home. - Recording yourself and critiquing ( don’t be too mean to yourself). - Taking VO classes, especially improv. - Learn the content and the “ why“ behind the script. - Practice with non-script material like a text message or email - Keep , or work on maintaining proper posture.

Whoof! Fourteen auditions in one day. I think that's the biggest number I've done in a good few years. I'm worn out now! @CastingCallClub

The filters were pretty ugly on @castingcallclub, so today I went in and cleaned up a bunch of things. Keep in mind that labels are type-in fields. That means they all come from you. I periodically go through these labels and merge them, delete some, and approve some for being in the search, etc. This happens about once per year, and here are the major updates I've done this time. These labels are now live on the search and on your profiles. - The voice description field actually will be voice descriptions now. That's always a plus. - Accents will be grouped by major accent and then by minor accent. So you'll have things like American (New York) and American (Midwest) and British (Cockney) now - Languages will be sorted first by the most popular language in the platform, which is English, followed by Spanish, and then all the rest. - I deleted about 150 slurs or bad words inside of these labels. Please stop being naughty.
