Castro's 2026.7.1 update today includes a new menu to review your downloaded episodes alongside a ton of fixes and improvements to how downloads work.
We added an MCP server to castro.fm/mcp
You should be able to do something like give Claude Code a Castro backup file, then have it graph your listening usage and map to Castro data. If this is useful to you please email [email protected] with how you're using it.

Castro will be updating from Postgres 16 to 18 today. The app will be down for a short maintenance window and you can expect slower feed updates for a few hours. Thanks and apologies for any inconvenience!
Some important fixes in 2026.5.1 which has been rolling out the past couple of days:
- Fix now-playing sometimes not following top-of-queue
- Add ‘All’ to stats
- Add more items to stats episodes
- Fix an issue with syncing a new device
- Fix an issue where playback could stall
We are deploying some changes to the backend. Castro users may experience connection issues for a brief period of time.
