ONE YEAR AGO: The @SBAgov Restaurant Revitalization Fund application opened.
NOW: Nearly 200K independent restaurants are still waiting for Congress to finish the job and refill the fund. #ReplenishRRF

The Restaurant Revitalization Fund was a great program, but severly underfunded. The original co sponsors of the bill knew that. The opportunity is there to finish the job and #replenishRRF. YOU have the power to save an industry. @JohnCornyn @robportman @DanSullivan_AK

Republicans appropriately argue that government should never pick winners & losers. But the underfunded #RRF did just that. I’ve advised the White House and Speaker Pelosi this is my highest priority, and I will not rest until we pass a “make good” measure. @IndpRestaurants

The State of the Union for restaurants is not strong. @POTUS and Congress must make restaurant relief a top priority and refill the Restaurant Revitalization Fund. #ReplenishRRF #SOTU2022

The Biden administration hasn’t yet expressed support for replenishing the RRF, so we’re asking you to join our open letter urging the @WhiteHouse to make restaurant relief a top priority.

Thankfully, and because of how greedy third party app delivery services are (charging in some cases 40% commissions to small businesses for what they call “maximum exposure,”) people are taking notice. Please support small businesses, not giant third party apps.

So today, with your help my job is begging @GovPritzker to expand the 60 day sales tax assistance program to all liquor licensed businesses in Chicago and Cook County.
Please call and email your state and city elected officials and tell them every place needs this state help.
