So much techno-utopianism about AI, particularly from @InstituteGC, in recent months.
Even the tiniest amount of experience of delivering digital/data/AI systems in the public sector would reveal it's a bit more complicated than that.

New report from us today on how more and more people are being priced out of car insurance.
This isn't felt evenly. Two years on from our first report, we still see an ethnicity penalty with people of colour paying >£300 more for car insurance.
We need solutions from @TheFCA 👇
2 years ago we found that people of colour were paying £250 more for car insurance than white people.
New research shows the gap has widened, and now stands at over £300.
The FCA must act.

#PrideMonth marks the Stonewall riots of June 1969 where people came together to protest for LGBTQ+ equality.
We celebrate it every year to mark how far the movement has come and what still needs to be done to help ensure fair treatment for all without discrimination 🏳️🌈

This will be *the* living standards election with 5 million people currently living in a negative budget - falling further into debt just to cover the essentials.

Great to see #BuyNowPayLater on the front page today.
It's 3 years since govt said they would regulate 'as a matter of priority' & over a year since new rules were consulted on.
The govt could make this happen tomorrow, protecting millions of people. Here's why they must: 🧵

Great to see community generated data used in campaigning 🙌
Just 1 in 10 playgrounds are accessible for disabled children.
Which is why today we @scope launch our Playground Accessibility Map.
We've crowdsourced accessibility info about 1,000 playgrounds from families to create this tool to help make play fair

‘If I spoke up about it, I’d be fired on the spot’. Therein is the disconnect between orgs that talk the talk in their HR policies, but where too many employees have stories of racism, misogyny, homophobia and bullying that go unsaid & unchallenged

New blog from me: What's a statutory consumer advocate and why do we matter?
TLDR: We're an early warning system, counterbalance to the powerful industry lobby and get into the weeds of technical debates so consumers don't have to. medium.com/p/586f974b22f3
