A statistic that sounds fake but isn't: Not one single white American man born after 1984 has published a work of literary fiction in The New Yorker.
It's not because they stopped writing. It's because The New Yorker has refused to publish them. The publishing industry has blacked out a generation of male writers & then they wonder why boys don't read.
About 70% of publishing professionals are women.
Because agents and editors tend to select books they personally relate to, an increasing number of male authors are being sidelined in the publishing industry, resulting in an overwhelming number of female protagonists on our shelves—and a dearth of male ones.
No wonder young men are no longer reading.

NEW: Cash App has severed ties with the 'I've Had It' Podcast after hosts Jennifer Welch and Angie Sullivan laughed uncontrollably at the thought of digging up Charlie Kirk's corpse and killing him again.
Cash App says they are no longer a sponsor of the show.
Just 20 minutes before the women cracked up at the thought of assassinating Charlie Kirk again, Welch had read an ad for Cash App.
Surprising anyone would want to sponsor this show in the first place.

I find it surprising to learn that Texans wanted a senator who said that whiteness is a virus and a majority leader of their state legislature who said that all POC have a shared oppressor in wypipo. I think it's interesting that these folx have such strong cross-partisan appeal. It reminds me of a friend assuring me that Zohran Mamdani would never be mayor of New York City.
