For nothing more glorious, nothing nobler, nothing surely more honorable can be imagined than to belong to the One, Holy Catholic, Apostolic and Roman Church - Pope Pius XII, Encyclical Mystici Corporis Christi, no. 91
The Vatican's new and wide ranging document on the transmission of the Faith, is an interesting document, namely because it highlights the crisis of the faith the Church is dealing with at the moment. Importantly it uses the word 'crisis', repeatedly.
It doesn't really provide many answers, however, it tries to reconcile the absolute failure in the transmission of the faith and the mass apostasy, seen especially in Europe, over the last 60 years, to an epochal change.
What this means for the legacy of a pastoral council whose stated aim was to bring the Church up to date, with that now infamous Italian word 'aggiornamento', will be telling.

As registrations open, Pope Leo XIV invites all the young people of the World Youth Day in Seoul 2027:
“A pilgrimage gives you the chance not only to discover Christian sites in another location, but also to find the time and space to encounter God more deeply, both personally and within the dynamic life of the Church. In Seoul, you will meet young people from all across the world, representing a beautiful and rich variety of languages and cultures. Yet, despite these differences, and indeed because of your God-given diversity, you will experience an even greater sense of unity, for we are all members of the one Body of Christ.”
Pope Leo XIV to the American Jewish Committee: “I affirmed that the Church does not tolerate anti-Semitism and fights against it, on the basis of the Gospel itself. Differences of opinion, however profound, must never give rise to prejudice and hostility, which undermine the moral foundations of our society.”
When St. John Paul II's June 2nd 1979 homily in Victory Square, Warsaw, was interrupted by the Faithful singing the Laudes regiæ; Christus vincit! Christus regnat! Christus imperat!, it was clear that Communism in Poland was doomed.
“As the family goes, so goes the nation and so goes the whole world in which we live.” - Saint Pope John Paul II

Two critical vulnerabilities have been identified in PHP, a widely used programming language that powers websites and web applications. These vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619) could allow malicious cyber actors to remotely execute code in PHP core, potentially compromising sensitive data and networks.
The FBI urges organizations to take the following steps now:
➡️ If an immediate update is not feasible it is recommended that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated.
➡️ Immediately update affected PHP installations following the guidance on php.net. Inventory where PHP runs in your environment, prioritizing internet-facing systems and vendor products that bundle PHP.
➡️ Monitor web servers for suspicious activity, including PHP processes unexpectedly launching command shells or downloading files. Ensure appropriate process-monitoring capabilities are in place to help identify potential exploitation.
➡️ If you find signs of compromise, isolate affected systems, preserve your web server and PHP logs, and report it to your local FBI field office or ic3.gov. Those reports help us identify the actors involved and warn other organizations before they become victims.
For the latest information, follow PHP’s announcement on php.net, CERT-EU Security Advisory 2026-018, and CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog.
Father is right that Ordinatio Sacerdotalis contains "tenende" truth, not "credende" truth.
This means that one who rejects it, is according to canon law, "opposed to the doctrine of the Catholic Church."
That is not the same as the crime of the heresy, Father is right. But it does have canonical consequences, and moral ones, and spiritual ones, and at least potentially eternal ones.

Effective Immediately, all organizations using PHP for their systems are advised to be prepared for an update addressing two critical vulnerabilities. PHP is widely used for web applications. These vulnerabilities often provide a direct path to the server's file system or database. If an immediate update is not feasible, it is recommend that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated. NSA will follow up shortly with more specific guidance.

Pope Leo XIV’s doctors have given the Pope the all clear, and confirmed that he will not require any more treatment for his lung cancer:
“The final histopathology and molecular testing reports on the tissue removed during the Holy Father's surgery were issued today. The results confirmed that the tumor was a lung adenocarcinoma and that the disease was localized. A subsequent oncological assessment has confirmed that no further treatment is necessary.”
