1974 - Arsenal's elimination to Fleetwood was only the second time in League Cup history that the reigning top-flight champions have been knocked by a fourth tier opponent, along with Leeds who lost 3-0 to Chester City in 1974-75. Unexpected.

The thing that gets me the most about this debate is that even if you strip away the emotive arguments from both sides, ‘MK Dons’ is just an awful name. It sounds like a bad imitation of an American sports team, like when Hull laughably tried to rename themselves to Hull Tigers.

Laughably poor from Dortmund, but it’s easy to tell why Bodø are so incredibly strong at home. Freezing cold, a pitch unlike any other in the CL, and a team who must feel supremely confident whenever they step onto it - they made tonight just seem like a normal day at the office.

Makes Saturday’s result even more impressive when you realise this new-look team still needs a bit of time to properly gel. If everyone had truly been on the same wavelength, we’d have had a couple of men shielding him from the ref’s view to stop him picking up a cheap booking.
