New EU rules on Mineral Oil Aromatic Hydrocarbons (MOAH) could have implications for Sri Lankan exports, including spices, tea and coconut-based products.
The Department of Commerce, in collaboration with The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and the European Union (EU), organised an awareness session on the EU Draft Regulations on MOAH, where industry experts discussed the proposed requirements, potential risks for businesses, and the steps exporters can take to prepare.
For businesses supplying the European market, understanding these changes early is essential to meeting regulatory requirements, ensuring product safety, and maintaining access to key export markets.
