You can replace people or you can just be more ambitious.
AI isn't replacing in-house teams. Yet. Nearly 30 owners shared wins in our "Biggest AI Wins" thread in @ecomfuelco. The biggest surprise: almost no one mentioned cutting their in-house team. Lots are replacing software and cancelling subscriptions. Plenty are cutting agencies and consultants. Almost no one mentioned axing their W2s. They did mention staff getting more done. A few caught the bug and are building tools of their own.

Switching 3PLs in October sounds like terrible timing. We had a client make the move as Q4 orders and inbound inventory were rising, then added an FBM curveball during onboarding. They called it one of the smoothest transitions they’d experienced. 😏

Here's the most interesting thing I learned from 1,000 owners in @ecomfuelco this month: Small to medium-sized brands see big gains bringing ads in-house. If you're under $500K in annual ad spend you should, too. One member noticed his agency's profit report left out one small cost: the agency. With fees added back in, Amazon (a third of his business) was barely profitable. That's before the weekly Zooms, Slack pings, and meetings to prep for the meetings. So he turned off the ads and let the agency go. Sales held, and a year later his Amazon sales are up about 40%. He did the same with Google and now runs it himself with Claude in about an hour a week. Spend down 61%, sales up 57%. Another member with a larger Amazon business took his account back and found 85% of his ad placements were breaking even or losing money. Cutting them dropped spend by $100K a month while profit rose dramatically. But it lines up with what paid traffic pro and friend @andrewjfaris has repeatedly told our members: Under ~$500K a year in spend? Bring ads in-house. With platform MCPs and sharp AI skills, doing it yourself is more feasible than ever. As always, company names, specific details and playbooks stay inside eComFuel. Add a Z axis for average zone distribution and Charlotte is the clear winner in all categories.
I am once again reminding you that most of your problems would be solved if you moved to Charlotte, NC

Had a random email show up in our Microsoft acct. Ran up an 80k azure invoice in the last 30 days. We didn’t see until invoice came to AP. Happen to anyone else?
