Back home after football/hockey doubleheader at MSU. Who'd have thought I'd see two shutouts?

Final: MSU 2, St Thomas 0. Weekend sweep for Mavericks.

And MSU scores, Zetterberg with breakaway at 18:52.

St. Thomas has decided not to use a goalie for the final minute.

End of 2P: MSU 1, St Thomas 0. MSU +4 in SOG. Mavericks could really use a TD early in 3P. At least a FG.

Is that Blakeslee?

End of 1P: MSU 1, St. Thomas 0. Scholl with the goal, assisted by Stender and Hupka at 16:53. MSU with 8-2 advantage in SOG.

I was sure warmer at football game.

I came back in 1991, then moved to sports when Morgan retired.

You can take the dog out of the fight, but ...

Now I'm waiting for puck drop in hour, MSU v. St. Thomas. Fun doubleheader for this old dog.

Got kicked off wireless at the end of the game, which wrapped up at 35-0. Blocked FG at end makes it first shutout since 2021, first shutout at home since 2017. Very impressive win. The Mavericks need 2 wins in the last 3 games to clinch NSIC title.

Henderson goes 62 yards for another score. It's 35-donut. Impressive show by defense, offense has been very good in second half.

Bruising drive, Thompson scores from 22. It's 28-0 and I can start writing this one.

Today's attendance: 7,024. Third- largest at Blakeslee.

End of 3Q: MSU 21, Wayne 0. Wayne is running it's first plays in MSU territory.

MSU scores again on 1-yd run by Thompson. Thompson pass to Holloway for 21-0 lead. Kinda seems like clincher with 7 minutes left in 3Q.

Fat fingers. If course it's 13-0.

Fournier misses from 25 and MSU leads 10-0 at halftime.
