As we celebrate our nation’s historic 250th anniversary, let us remember this:
Yes, America is an idea of self-government and God-given rights. But those ideas endure only because they are upheld by the rule of law, protected by secure borders, and sustained by the consent of the American people.
The truth is this: not everyone is capable of, or able to, take advantage of the American idea.
That simple distinction is one of the defining ideological divides in modern times.
We cannot let ourselves be taken advantage of anymore. I pray the next 250 years will be a reclamation of genuine patriotism, sacrifice, and protection of those ideas from those who seek to use our ideals against us.
Happy 250th, America. 🇺🇸
Spent some time today joining @bennyjohnson to discuss the Ilhan Omar immigration investigation. This appears to be a methodical and deliberate process to follow the facts - and, to eventually, initiate a denaturalization process if warranted.
Former DHS Secretary Chad Wolf confirms he WOULD denaturalize Ilhan Omar over her immigration fraud allegations if he were still in the role.
The HSI Investigation has followed the facts and we now know she changed her birth date in order to illegally obtain citizenship.
8 U.S.C. § 1453 allows the DHS Secretary to terminate her paperwork for:
-Fraudulent naturalization paperwork
-Concealment of material facts
-Willful misrepresentation
-Failure to meet legal naturalization requirements
She violated the law.
The evidence is damning @ChadFWolf
More than 3 million visa overstays. Over 100,000 people flagged as potential national-security or public-safety risks.
Yet just 496 investigations were conducted and only 8 arrests were made. That’s not effective enforcement - it’s the disastrous legacy of the Biden administration.
China’s influence in America’s critical infrastructure is a threat today and garnering bipartisan concern. Chinese-linked technology and equipment create vulnerabilities across ports, communications, vehicles, the power grid and even American homes. See my latest thoughts below.

Short trip to Mexico City to discuss security opportunities and challenges at the American Society of Mexico’s 5th Binational Conference. Also presented a chance to catch up with a good friend, US Ambassador Ron Johnson and other personnel at the U.S. embassy. @amsocmx
The protection of AI tech is a national security issue. Now is the time to treat advanced datasets and specialized services as strategically significant AI capabilities, alongside compute and frontier models.
And most importantly, we should establish targeted safeguards preventing US companies from transferring those capabilities to Chinese military-linked entities and frontier AI labs.

This ruling is absolutely absurd. The characterization of the Trump Admin’s arguments as weak or unjustified is only the tip of the iceberg of this completely biased decision, which favors universities’ bottom lines and foreign nationals.
The judge’s decision is based on a faulty premise, that foreign nationals have some sort of right to study at our universities and that American universities have a right to bring in whoever they want, regardless of the consequences to American students or our national security.
Several changes the Trump Admin is proposing are extraordinarily reasonable! They include: (1) limiting a student visa to a 4 year renewable visa instead of an indefinite period; (2) requiring foreign students to apply for an extension directly to DHS/USCIS for biometric vetting, background checks, and fraud screenings instead of university staff; and (3) ending the practice of foreign students pursuing multiple degrees to extend their stay in the US.
These changes, and others, are common sense. Nothing more.

Twenty-five years ago, the world forever changed.
Today is a time for reflection and to honor those who we lost — the first responders who ran toward danger and everyone who has fought since to keep the terror away from our shores.
I’m reminded of the dozens of challenge coins presented to me over the years while at DHS. Many of them were from various DHS components. And most of them had the slogan on them - “never forget.” At the time, it made sense. But as time passes, our mindset must change and adapt. Today, that message should be “never again.” For that to happen, we need to ensure that our elected leaders prioritize common sense policies and resources. Not slogans. They need to listen to the professionals.
My life has been shaped by those events many years ago. From evacuating the Capitol complex on 9/11 to helping stand-up TSA in 2002 and then DHS in 2003. I have worked side by side with professionals who are dedicated to the mission of securing the homeland - and I pray for those still involved in the fight. The threats today and our tools to defeat them are different than they were in 2001, but the underlying commitment and vigilance must endure.
Our way of life is worth defending. The fight never ends.
In the unforgettable words of Todd Beamer - "Let’s roll."
Our supply chain dependency on China is one of the gravest national security vulnerabilities we face and nowhere is that threat more dangerous than in our pharma sector.
But President Trump is fixing it. @ProtectUSInit

An illegal drug pipeline is running from chemical manufacturers in Communist China straight into American homes.
Retatrutide ("reta") is experimental, has no FDA-approved version, and is illegal to sell to patients. Aimed at Americans that want to lose weight.
Chinese suppliers. Concealed shipments. US middlemen. We've seen this playbook (with fentanyl) before.

Parents, not social media companies, should have the final say over how much time their children spend online and what they are exposed to. @Meta’s new protections are a step in the right direction but more can be done.
Now TikTok and the rest of the industry should adopt strong parental controls of their own. Families should not have to fight a different battle on every app their kids open.

Thank you @SenRickScott for leading the call to protect American health care data from the CCP.
This is not a glitch. This is the Chinese Communist Party, deliberately embedded in our hospitals, watching our patients, stealing our data.
.@SenRickScott is right: China wants to win, and they are willing to use your hospital room to do it.
This is espionage. Ban Chinese medical devices NOW!

The UK Home Office—the equivalent of DHS—is now telling asylum seekers not to rape women. I am NOT kidding. Think about how far things have deteriorated in the UK.
Instead of issuing this disgraceful guidance, how about passing laws denying asylum to anyone who condones or commits violence against women and others?
Years of uncontrolled mass immigration have consequences. This should serve as a warning to the US, and it’s exactly why the Trump Administration is putting Americans, public safety, and national security FIRST.

Chad Wolf retweeted
Former Acting DHS Sec Calls Out Walz, Ellison's Hypocrisy
Walz and Ellison are suddenly very concerned a law enforcement officer might get released on bail… But they’ve shown zero concern when illegal aliens get released on bail.
@ChadFWolf : "What they failed to do is talk about their duty to law enforcement and, of course, to their citizens, and not honoring ICE detainers."
Fantastic time breaking in my new custom-built AR-15 from Rapture Tactical in Hanover County, VA. Mark, the owner, got me all set up—and the bonus was spending time with former Acting ICE Director Tony Pham. Great day!
Blocking law enforcement from working with ICE isn’t “progress” - it’s putting politics ahead of public safety. Hochul is choosing illegal aliens over the people she was elected to protect.
Think you know how New York protects illegal aliens? You probably haven't seen the half of it. Former Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons and I expose the state's playbook for obstructing immigration enforcement - and discuss how to defeat these dangerous, lawless policies and restore the rule of law.

Verifying the welfare and safety of children trafficked across the border (largely during the Biden Admin) should be a rare, bipartisan moment in DC.

🧵While these images are startling, they should not be surprising. Earlier this year Spain declared a mass amnesty and over 600,000 aliens have received work permits. Combined with almost non-existent deportation efforts and the result is obvious. More will come.

The way forward - vet all applicants thoroughly, ensuring they will assimilate and will contribute to our economy rather than take from it.
