Across Alaska, I’m hearing the same message loud and clear: our outdated permitting system is stifling our state’s potential. The bipartisan permitting reform package is a top priority for our state. It will lower costs, give industry the stability needed to invest and grow, and remove burdensome barriers while protecting the integrity and original intent of our laws. The Senate must act swiftly when we return in November.

This week, Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy announced a $250M award to complete the Port MacKenzie rail extension—connecting Fairbanks and the Interior directly to a port by rail! I've pushed relentlessly for this investment for over two years. This is huge for the Valley, the Interior, and our entire state! – at Alaska, USA

I love Fairbanks. 32 years ago, my wife Julie and I started our family here. And as Alaska’s Senator, I’ve always made sure Fairbanks and the Interior have a strong voice in D.C. Mary Peltola closed her Interior office when she was in Congress. And today, she refused to show up for the Fairbanks Chamber candidate forum—leaving me to speak to an empty chair. Once again, she’s showing blatant disrespect for Fairbanks and the Interior—and showing Alaskans exactly what kind of representation they can expect from her in the Senate.
