There has never been any acknowledgement that refugees come from very traumatising backgrounds. There’s never been any acknowledgement that mandatory and indefinite detention also causes trauma.

Gotta love the way the university sector decided to cry poor yesterday, just ahead of #NTEU's strike action. Members are not wearing it - they want decent pay rises, fair workloads and secure jobs and are prepared to fight for it.

Fantastic news! A Sydney court has overturned @VioletCoCo5's harsh & excessive 15 month jail sentence
She should never have been jailed for her peaceful climate protest
The NSW gov should review its problematic anti-protest law & uphold Australia’s international law obligations
Authorities in #Australia are disproportionately punishing climate activists in violation of their basic rights to peaceful protest
Violet Coco has been sentenced to 15 months in prison
Her crime? A peaceful protest that lasted 25 minutes
