I lost ₦609,000 to someone I was trying to buy a PS5 from through a Facebook ad.
I want to share exactly how it happened because the person is still running similar ads on Facebook, and I don’t want anyone else falling victim to the same thing.

And one of of the things paining me is that I’m still seeing ads of the exact same ps5, Tv and other appliances run by him using multiple accounts
Here’s a few I saw
We both used Moniepoint and i’ve reported everything to Moniepoint fraud department, EFCC and the NPF cybercrime unit.
I’ve submitted receipts, screenshots, screen recordings and all the evidence I have.
It’s been almost two weeks, and @moniepointng keeps telling me they’re still investigating. I’m yet to get a proper update on what’s being done or whether there’s any progress towards recovering my money. @officialEFCC Hasn’t opened my mail since two weeks ago and @PoliceNG hasn’t even said anything about the complain I lodged.
Honestly I’m very ashamed I fell for something like this but I’m sharing it here so nobody does cause these people are actively and confidently running ads and defrauding people.
