Let's have a fun thread of people 'who can always tell' calling me a man. (Because when you talk about having PCOS asuch as I do this shit is funny as anything!)
I’ll admit it, I was deeply sceptical of crypto for a long time. Thanks to the guidance of @NikolinaSabljc, a lot of learning, and plenty of discipline, I turned £850 into £50K+ in profit. Not luck, not hype, education, strategy, and good mentorship. Very grateful. 🙏📈

Thank you, @JoshBabarinde for pressing the government on today's appalling leaked EHRC proposals. It is both sickening and predictable that they should leak on Transgender Day of Remembrance. Thank you for committing the @LibDems to standing up for our rights.

Given the song is in this section of the song book it's fun to see Darren taking the bait yet again...
As Chair of @LGBTLD we're really proud of Chris and all our amazing LGBT+ women councillors and activists- fantastically well deserved!
The Express asked us about awarding the Patsy Carlton Prize to Cllr Chris Northwood. This is our response:
"This prize acknowledged an exceptional woman in Cllr Chris Northwood. The message it sends to women members and voters is that the Liberal Democrats honour and value all of our women members."
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Women-only prizes are allowed under exceptions in EA2010. Under EA, Chris Northwood is a man and his inclusion is therefore directly & indirectly discriminatory. The Lib Dems claim to accept the Supreme Ct ruling, but are deliberately breaching the law.

You racist political illiterate. White people aren’t ‘native’ to Australia. They’re illegal immigrants who came in boats to ‘invade, infest & steal’ land. Every accusation is a confession of what White ppl do. Australia isn’t in the West but we know by ‘West’ you mean White.
Hey @StarbucksUK you're aware tomato ketchup is normally made of tomatoes and not just shown a picture of one before the dark orange translucent goo you have gifted with the name is sealed in a darkened plastic tomb (where frankly it deserved to stay tbh.)

Today we celebrate 12 years since the @LibDems passed the Same Sex Marriage Act, with some lovely photos of our married and engaged Plus members.
Including our Chair, @CharleyHasted, who’s getting married in October, and our HVP, @Juvelad, who celebrates their 10th anniversary.

ALT A celebratory graphic titled “12 years of ‘I do’!” featuring photos of same-sex couples, including several from the Liberal Democrats. The images show couples on their wedding days, hugging, smiling or attending events. The banner thanks Baroness Lynne Featherstone and campaigners who made same sex marriage a reality. It also thanks Lib Dem couples for sharing their photos. At the bottom is the LGBT+ Liberal Democrats logo and publishing details.
I am incredibly proud to call Christine a friend. She has had the maturity and class to take the criticism of trans people when she's made mistakes and proven time and again that she absolutely has the courage of her convictions and this shows nothing less than I'd expect.i
It would have been the easiest thing in the world for her to demand ally cookies and run off when she didn't get them from trans people like a number of politicians have done. She didn't. She stayed and learned and kept doing the right thing not the easy thing.
The Lib Dem Front bench will be the poorer for not having her there and it's been a pleasure to work with her as Chair of @LGBTLD.

This is why we have a housing crisis.
The supply is in the hands of a few builders controlling prices and restricting the release of homes to market to maintain high prices.
Seven volume house-builders agree to give £100m to government to settle anti-competitive probe by The Competition and Markets Authority. The money will go towards affordable housing. So that’s all right then. Nothing to see here. Shush. londonstockexchange.com/news…

Last month, during Pride no less, I was concerned by reports TfL staff were prohibited from wearing the trans flag. Today when I asked the Commissioner, he said he wasn't aware of any restrictions. I will be following up to check - #transinclusion matters, now more than ever 🏳️⚧️

Many trans people are concerned and confused about what last week’s Supreme Court ruling. The UK Government must provide clear guidance to preserve the rights and dignity of all – including trans people.
My cis fiancée is 6 foot 4 inches. I am fucking terrified she's going to get attacked.

In light of the UK Supreme Court ruling on the legal definition of the term “woman,” we want to be clear: Scissor Sisters stand in full solidarity with our trans friends, family, and community. This decision is deeply upsetting, and we recognise the pain and fear it causes. 1/3
