March sown 4540P.
Completely adequate nutrition package, adequate rainfall, zero frost (this is from the top of the hill).
Plant looks terribly sick for starters.
Wish I never looked, id estimate we’ve had 50%+ pod abortion….
At least 1 in 3 plants looks like this.

Lots of talk on barley varieties and quality. Here’s maximus, reaper and neo in order. This site extremely hard finish, 145mm ytd. Grain quality analysis will be interesting. Trial with @HartBrosSeeds 👌 #aggrowagronomy

Something has clearly changed around Romania’s Black Sea coast.
YARA J, a chemical tanker, was hit inside Romanian territorial waters.
WINE TRADER, another chemical tanker sailing Sfax–Sulina in ballast, was hit just outside the 12-mile limit.
And LADY JASMIN, a dry bulk vessel waiting to enter the Danube, was reportedly hit just 5 miles off Romania - again, inside territorial waters.
Until this week, attacks on merchant vessels had stayed outside Romanian waters.
That line has now been crossed.

Great to catch up with the Australian Ambassador to China, Scott Dewar, and the State Opera Company of South Australia.
They’ve just delivered a brilliant performance of Mozart’s "The Magic Flute" at the China National Opera.
All of Adelaide should be proud of them.

If you start notice some glyphosate resistance in ARG would you:
-still use glyphosate at robust rates + spike,
-switch to Paraquat (new low rates) + spike or
-diversify to glufosinate + spike for knock-down? A trial comparing 33 different spike strategies. Easy poll 👇

Never picked ear corn before in our lives. Until today. Grayce and I got this New Idea picker from a great family in eastern Illinois a few months ago. The previous owners father used to pick with it each Fall back in the 60’s and 70’s. We got to learn a lot about him the day we went to pick it up. We’re proud to get Jerome’s corn picker back in the field and doing what it was made to do.
Grayce’s dad said the last time they picked ear corn on their operation was either 50 or 51 years ago this Fall. What’s old is new again. Maybe we’ll drag it up to Rantoul next summer. It ran like a sewing machine all evening

Another merchant vessel has been sunk in the Black Sea.
The Royad Mammadov, carrying grain from Ukraine’s Izmail to Ravenna, Italy, caught fire and sank after being struck by a drone on Oct. 5.
Two crew members were killed, 11 rescued.
The vessel was Turkish-operated and went down in Romania’s EEZ, about 30 nautical miles south of Sfântu Gheorghe.
This is what the Black Sea #grain risk looks like now.

Only 16% of businesses were imposing card surcharges to their customers and the maximum fee a bank can charge to small businesses drops from 0.8% to 0.3% of the transaction. This is a win for small business. Don't get sucked in by the biased mainstream media.

Podding at our #TuYV resistance trial. At this late stage, typical symptoms diminish/disappear, and TuYV can be difficult to see: stunted plants with fewer, smaller pods. The good news is varietal resistance appears to alleviate this. Yield data soon! @theGRDC @DPIRDbroadacre

Here's why it's easier to be sustainable/regenerative if you only raise livestock: the exports of nutrients are much lower.
And this doesn't show N or C.
