Thanks for sharing the list. Every cert on it is now in the @CheckCOA fraud database as stolen, plus the ones affected collectors are sending me. @PSAcard deactivated them, but “deactivated” alone doesn’t tell a buyer why. Now anyone who scans one of these certs sees it came from the FedEx truck theft, with a note to contact PSA. If one of your cards was in that truck and isn’t on the list, send me the cert number and I’ll add it.
🚨 Please Share 🚨 This is the current list of 383 serialized cards that were stolen from the Fedex truck carrying PSA packages. I will update as I receive more information shorturl.at/wOA1M @SKYBCards @CardPurchaser @MindOfRusso

I often come across fake autographs on @eBay with inscriptions or sketches meant to make them worth more. The forgers at least try to make the autograph look right. With inscriptions, they take much more freedom with the handwriting and add them wherever they think they'll help sell the piece. Kanye did draw similar bears, but I've only come across one genuine “Thank you” from him, and the handwriting is completely different from the one on this seller's CD. The seller is signedsounds: Kanye covers with drawings and “Thank you,” Drake with “SCORPION 2018,” Brady helmets with “7X SB CHAMP” or “GO BLUE.” I've watched this seller relist and sell each of these items several times. @CheckCOA flags the featured Kanye and Drake examples for fake autographs and fake PSA stickers, and the Kanye cert number appears on a different album cover too. Don't pay extra for supposed rarity without checking what you're actually buying.

In just two days, 94 Beckett checks came through CheckCOA. We answered 35 from stored records, and 23 returned Fraud Alerts. 16 even included the full original Beckett record. A valid certificate number proves the record exists. It does not prove the item in front of you is the original. #Beckett #Beckett_maintenance
Replying to @beckettcollect
@beckettcollect has been completely down for two days. "Scheduled maintenance" with zero prior notice, no ETA, and radio silence until the site had already been dark for hours. Taking your entire website, app, and cert database offline at once isn't how infrastructure works in 2026. You stage it, test it, and deploy behind live traffic without halting verification for the entire hobby. Here is what I did about it instead: I refuse to leave collectors staring at a maintenance screen, so I configured @CheckCOA to return what data I already have. Over the 90 days before the outage, 88% of Beckett lookups on my end were for certificates I had already recorded or flagged. If I've indexed the record, you get it. If the cert sits in my fraud database-12,369 Beckett records and counting, you get the full alert: signer, item details, and seller history. If I haven't seen the number yet, you just see the maintenance notice. Completely free. This isn’t a live Beckett check and I won't pretend it is. The moment their lookup comes back online, I'm switching it off. Don't buy blind during the outage-check your Beckett cert numbers at checkcoa.com.

Beckett’s website and cert lookup have been down for maintenance for several hours now. Unfortunately, @beckettcollect hasn’t posted any updates or ETAs regarding when it will be back online. To ensure clarity and let you know it's not an issue on our end, we’ve integrated live provider status notices into CheckCOA. If an authenticator is down, you’ll now see their official maintenance message directly on your results screen. As always: CheckCOA never deducts scan credits for failed lookups or third-party outages. Your scan balance remains 100% untouched.

Big thanks to the CheckCOA community. Fraud reports keep coming in, and this one is a perfect example of why simply checking whether a cert number exists is not enough. This “PSA 9” 1st Edition Charizard uses cert #63031119. The problem? That cert actually belongs to a 2002 Duel Masters Astrocomet Dragon, graded PSA 8. The number is real. The slab isn't. And here's what makes this scam easier: @PSAcard has no reference photo for the original certified card. The cert number is valid and returns an active PSA record, which may be enough to fool buyers who only check whether the number exists without carefully comparing the card details. A reference photo would make the misuse immediately obvious. And it gets worse. The Charizard itself appears counterfeit too. Look closely at the Stage 2 area and the Fire Spin text. You can literally see garbled and double-printed text on the card. So we have a real PSA cert number, a completely different card and grade in PSA's database, a counterfeit slab, and an apparently counterfeit card inside it. This is exactly why “the cert checks out” means nothing if you don't verify what the cert actually belongs to. Cert #63031119 and the counterfeit slab are now documented in the CheckCOA Fraud Alert Database with the evidence attached. Verify before you trust checkcoa.com/

Here’s the traditional monthly CheckCOA eBay tracker for August, now with month-over-month changes included. 🚨 August 2026 1,505 counterfeit or compromised listings logged, up 21.58% from July. The biggest jumps came from: • Fanatics: +278% • Upper Deck: +242% • Panini: +130% • JSA: +63% • Beckett: +11% Ronaldo and Messi were the two most frequently forged names this month. Same pattern, bigger scale. Verify the item, not just the certificate number. 🔎 checkcoa.com

Imagine checking @eBay and seeing your forged signature sold on repeat for $1,225 with a fake @beckettcollect cert A price that high would shock anyone for a real Haaland autograph, but this seller is running a whole factory off one fake. The worse part is that this fake jersey keeps appearing in sold results with the same photos. signed_jersey_shop sold the pictured shirt on June 11, July 11, July 15, and August 1, then treated it as Buy It Now stock in quantities of ten and six. One fake Haaland shirt, sold like a warehouse item.

CheckCOA has officially crossed $1.0M in Loss Prevented! 🛡️ The actual prevented loss is significantly higher: Active auctions are often scanned when bids are just a few dollars, even though final sale prices reach thousands. Historically, scans were automatically purged after 30 days and are excluded from this total. We now retain scan history for a full year so you can always access your past verification records. More deep-dive analytics and marketplace fraud reports coming soon. Thank you to everyone using CheckCOA to make the hobby safer!

Same pattern, another major consignor. Fake autographs with fake @PSAcard / @beckettcollect paperwork have now reached 4 Sharp Corners. @CheckCOA logged 25 certs there; Beckett BG89297 appeared on fake Scottie Pippen jerseys at both QuickConsign and 4 Sharp Corners. Thefastmall shows the same photo-free-cert playbook. The same source pattern is producing fakes for everyone from Nirvana and The Beatles to Donald Trump, Jordan, Kobe, Messi, and other top names. The Beckett items arrive with the same folders and fake LOAs. The PSA items use basic certificate cards for names PSA never issued under that basic-cert format. @eBay already received structured reports. Apparently nobody is available to work them and nobody wants to kill a fee-generating golden goose while collectors keep paying.
One month ago, I reported fake autographs being sold through QuickConsign using fake Beckett LOAs, counterfeit Beckett stickers, and misused certificate numbers. I checked the store again today. Around 10 fake autograph listings are still active, and more than 20 have sold over the past month for an estimated $25,000. One fake Shohei Ohtani item alone sold for $3,150. QuickConsign has 2.9 million items sold and nearly 58,000 followers. Buyers trust that reputation, and scammers are exploiting it to steal thousands of dollars from collectors every single day. A month later, I still see no meaningful action from @eBay, @beckettcollect, or QuickConsign. I have now contacted QuickConsign via their website and asked them to remove the affected listings and investigate the consignors responsible for them. America really is the land of opportunity. Apparently, you can forge documents bearing the name of a major U.S. authentication company, fake the signature of the sitting U.S. president @realDonaldTrump, ignore marketplace rules, and sell it all through one of eBay's largest consignment accounts. Meanwhile, social media is obsessed with a story about an old man and a kid caught on camera stealing a trading card worth a few thousand dollars at the National Sports Card Show. Yet almost nobody seems to care that scammers are taking far more money from collectors every single day through fake memorabilia sold on major marketplaces. Warning: A Fanatics Hologram That Skips the KeyCode Is a Fake The new @FansAuthentic hologram has one job: make you enter the 3-letter KeyCode you reveal by tilting the sticker. That's the part a counterfeiter can't copy. So they stopped trying. This Ronaldo jersey sold for $749.99 on 22 July with a current-style hologram QR, guilloche, KeyCode window carrying number B261708. One letter, six digits: the old format, from before the KeyCode existed. Scan it and you go straight to a result. It never asks for the code. New sticker, old lookup. @MikeMahan flagging in case it's useful. A valid certificate only proves the number exists. Not that it belongs on the item it's stuck to. As always, if you want to dive deeper into the details with all the screenshots and evidence, check out the full breakdown on the blog: checkcoa.com/blog/fake-becke… Never trust screenshots. Check the real item photo yourself. Verify before you buy: checkcoa.com
This one is cleverer than the usual fake @beckettcollect sticker. @eBay seller soda city.revival is using fake Beckett verification screenshots. Most of the page looks real because it was copied from Beckett. The seller just replaces the original item photo with a photo of the fake jersey. The result looks very convincing. Even the fake autograph closely follows the real autograph in Beckett's photo. Jordan AE07407 and Wembanyama R58187 are real Beckett LOA certs, and both have real photos in the database. Do not compare only the numbers. Compare the photos. At first glance, both fake autographs look very close. Zoom in and the differences appear. The real Wembanyama jersey also has the original Fanatics sticker, which he hid on his fake screenshot.

Scammers are either running out of period-correct items to mass-produce fakes, or they’re just getting incredibly lazy. Case in point: a forged Kobe Bryant autograph on a pair of shoes that officially released 10 months after his tragic passing. ebay.com/itm/127961987789 The @PSAcard cert number used here is from the early 2000s, which makes the whole setup even more ridiculous. Do your homework, verify the cert, and check it on CheckCOA.com before you buy so you don’t get caught in a scam. #FakeAutographs #FakeCOA #AutographScam #SportsMemorabilia #KobeBryant

Here’s how simple the CheckCOA flow is. Scan the new Beckett Witnessed sticker once - and in a few seconds you get: ✅ CheckReal sticker result ✅ Beckett certificate record ✅ CheckCOA Fraud Alert check One scan. Three answers. Verify before you buy. 🛡️ checkcoa.com/ #Autographs #Beckett #CheckCOA #HobbyNews
I found a new Beckett Witnessed sticker on #eBay, and I still cannot find a clear public explanation from @beckettcollect about the new verification flow. The new QR code no longer goes straight to the old Beckett lookup. It routes through CHKREAL: chkreal.com/verify/BECKETT?p… After more testing, I figured out how to make it work: you need to place the entire sticker, including the QR code, inside the scan frame. If it recognizes it, an Authentic badge appears for a moment and then you are redirected to the normal Beckett certificate page. I took the flow apart, then rebuilt it inside @CheckCOA. Here's what it actually does - and what it doesn't.
