The Argyle Street Bridge is evidence reminder of why we need to invest in the roads and bridges our communities rely on. On my platform, I talk about the importance of maintaining suitable infrastructure across our province. All cross Ontario, we need safe, reliable infrastructure that keeps people moving and our local economies connected. Read more: stephaniebowman.ca.

Stop trying to convince me that El Sayed is not an antisemite. Yes, Israel gets a lot of money from the US, but Jordan, Ethiopia, and the Congo get the same amount when added together. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out why he’s only talking about Israel.
This is one of the most comical ads this election cycle. Yes, Americans are chatting at the grocery store about how they can’t buy groceries because their tax dollars “go to Israel” 🙄 😂 nevermind the fact that Israel has invested 100% of military aid in the U.S. economy since Oct 7, and has also purchased over $1 billion *additional* in arms, according to DoD. Federal military aid is also prohibited from being spent on anything other than U.S. arms, so the line about healthcare is even more comical. El Sayed and his Islamist fans like Cenk Uygur want and expect American voters to be so stupid they never check. Not only is this ad insane, conspiratorial, and antisemitic — it is also flat out false. El Sayed isn’t for the people of Michigan, he isn’t even for America. He is for the Muslim Brotherhood.

This caught on in ways that I did not expect. To be clear, I'm Canadian! I am not suggesting that anybody should vote for this guy's Republican opponent. As a Jew, I'm commenting on the communications because we have similar arguments in our country. I'm glad I don't need to vote in this race, because I wouldn't like any of the options.

As somebody who always liked and supported Bonnie, I'm very disappointed in what she said. I understand that she was hurt, but 58% of OLP convention delegates put their confidence in her at the leadership review and we deserve better. I gather she thought she needed to say this to win in Mississauga, but it goes too far. Win or lose, I hope she withdraws this comment after the results are announced. #onpoli

In a scathing statement, Fraser says if Crombie “believes she was never comfortable being a Liberal, I think that probably speaks for itself.” “Being an Ontario Liberal isn’t something you wear when it’s comfortable. It’s something you believe in,” he adds. Full statement:

Contrary to the ad, in the last three years Israel has spent over $15 billion on US missile defense products while it received under $11 billion. Overall, Israel spends up to $10 billion a year on US military products. If anything, that money is a subsidy to US military suppliers.

New theory about BC turnout that haven’t seen. Last election, many centrist Liberal types were willing to vote for the NDP to stop the Conservatives. This time, they were not. #cdnpoli

Relatively normal and likeable dude replaces deeply unpleasant and polarizing political animal as leader of conservative party and wins massively, in what is surely a fluke one-off with no broader meaning or significance that anyone should pay attention to or ponder in any way.

To what extent are changes to the federal Liberal Party’s organizational structures since 2014 responsible for the decline of provincial Liberal parties? #cdnpoli

I’m not a fan of either BC political party, but I’m glad that the cynical ploy to call an election when the opposition had no leader has been punished. Hopefully, this is a message that other political leaders will listen to in Canada. #BCElection2026

David Eby’s legacy will be defined for years for this absolutely idiotic decision to call such an unnecessary election followed by a terrible performance of a campaign. #cdnpoli #bcpoli #bc26

Toronto Mayor just can't help herself; connects antisemitic vandalism and shootings at local Jewish buildings to disagreements with some random government's foreign policy
"I've been very clear that I've said no to hate, no to anti Semitism and I was at the vigil just few weeks ago, and which I've done so. However I do not support what the the Israeli government is doing." @OliviaChow addresses concerns of her support of Toronto's Jewish community.

Ontario has its first female speaker of the legislature, so the Toronto Star wrote an article about how she decorated the residence. Yuck. #onpoli

Imagine being a woman in politics, dealing with sexism and misogyny into your 70s, and then attacking another woman in politics with dog whistle language about how she would leave again. Now you know what it’s like to be Carolyn Parrish. I know there is some connection to Bonnie leaving as mayor and then coming back, but there are ways to say that without it being sexist. This is not one of them and I am confident it was a choice. #onpoli
Mississauga should not be treated like someone's political backup plan!

I know it’s unusual for me to be this quiet during a provincial election. I supported David Eby in the last election. But I’ve been deeply disappointed by his record as Premier and his performance throughout this campaign. Frankly, he’s given British Columbians very few reasons to re-elect him. I voted for him last time because there was no real alternative for Liberals, and I supported his government's pro-housing policies. The BC Conservatives, after all, were campaigning against Liberals as much as they were against New Democrats. The BC Conservatives look considerably more credible than they did just a few months ago. But I remain deeply concerned about how far to the right many of their MLAs are. There are still people in that caucus who clearly admired Donald Trump and his way of doing politics. One of my biggest concerns about a BC Conservative government is the possibility of a prolonged and entirely unnecessary confrontation with First Nations. That would be a terrible setback for reconciliation, economic development and the future of our province. We need to be building partnerships, not picking fights. If the Conservatives win, I hope they send an early signal that they intend to approach these relationships seriously and constructively, rather than through an ideological lens. Given the recent municipal election results, I also worry about a Conservative government picking a fight with the City of Vancouver, where I live. In particular, I worry about possible cuts to supportive housing that could leave even more people homeless. Vancouver has enough challenges without the provincial government making them worse. The Greens have become too radical, OneBC are racists, and Centre BC hasn't punched through. So I find myself dissatisfied with the choices before us. More than anything, I hope British Columbia will one day have a credible, centrist, Liberal-branded alternative that believes in economic growth, social progress and bringing people together. We certainly need one.

CBC deliberately inverted the story They opened with: “Israel has closed off the West Bank after Israeli soldiers shot and killed two Palestinians near Hebron.” The actual sequence—that two armed men from Hebron drove up, got out of the car, and opened fire on the checkpoint, triggering a 20-minute gun battle in which the attackers were killed—was buried nearly two and a half minutes in. Only then did viewers learn about the large quantity of weapons and ammunition, Israeli officials saying the pair were planning a major attack on civilians, and Hamas praising the “high-impact operation” while calling for more violence. BBC, CNN, The Washington Post, and The Times of Israel all led with the attack itself. CBC chose not to. This is not neutral sequencing. Leading with the Israeli response while delaying the fact that the dead men initiated a terrorist attack is a classic framing choice that makes the aggressors look like victims—days before Israel’s election @brodiefenlon

NEW: Education Minister Paul Calandra tells me he's "very excited" to have Stan Cho on his team, and that the "quality of his work since he's been an MPP is literally second to none." Premier Ford announced Cho will be joining Calandra’s team as a parliamentary assistant — just three months after Cho resigned from cabinet for charging taxpayers $16,000 in Toronto hotel stays. The new role comes with a $22,500 pay bump. Ford declined to comment. Story: thetrillium.ca/insider-news/…

In July, when asked about his frivolous use of taxpayer funds for unnecessary hotel stays, Premier Ford described then-minister Stan Cho’s behaviour as “totally unacceptable.” Today, he gave him a new title — and a $22,500 raise. What changed, Premier? And what does accountability actually mean to you?
NEW - The Premier‘s office releases an updated list of parliamentary assistants. Notably, Stan Cho is named parliamentary assistant to the Minister of Education. Cho resigned as Minister of Tourism Culture and Gaming in July amid a scandal over hotel expenses.

Thanks to the hosts of Race to Replace (@airquotesmedia) for digging into my health care plan. After years of Doug Ford’s cuts, Ontarians are waiting too long for too little care. They need a real plan, and I’m putting in the work, and building a team to put change into action. In the next election, and when we form government, our team is ready to fix what he has broken.
